Before Zoya Evvie came out in the NYFW 2012 Collection, I had no idea who Peter Som was. (I follow fashion off and on, and while I know some designers, I didn’t know about him.)
The reason I’m bringing him up is because Zoya originally created this custom-mixed colour especially for Peter’s runway show. What a lucky ducky!
Now, you know that I don’t wear greys all that much, but when there’s a touch of green in it, my ears shoot straight up like a rabbit during an announcement of a carrot sale. 😉 And when I hear about a carrot-cake sale, I wiggle my cotton-ball tail.

Zoya Evvie Review
Colour
This isn’t your standard concrete grey, and that’s why I like it more. It has some green undertones that you notice in certain lighting. Sure, sometimes it looks like a plain grey, but when you see it in various lighting, the green personality winks. What a flirt!
Finish
Evvie by Zoya has a creme finish that’s classy and simple. Because of this, it’s extremely easy to remove – no scrubbing required!
This polish is the perfect base for nail stamping or other nail art because it won’t compete with intricate designs.
Application & Formula
I was very impressed by the formula of Evvie by Zoya because it applied smoothly and evenly. The pigmentation was superb even with just one coat. But, of course, I used 2 coats since I never feel quite right wearing just one coat of polish…unless I use it in nail art.

Final Verdict: 7/10
I wish that all creme polishes applied as creamy and as pigmented as Evvie. It really makes painting your nails effortless.
Do you like to wear grey polishes that have green undertones, or do you like straight-up concrete-type greys? What’s your favourite Zoya polish of all time?
Mmm, what a dreamy colour! I love this- the touch of green in a dark grey is perfection. And I love your nail shape, by the way! It just seems to work really well with this.

Hey The Lacquer Tracker!
Thanks for leaving a comment! Haha, I was beginning to think that nobody liked this shade. :p
And thanks for the compliment on my nail shape! 🙂 Actually, I’m envious of those with sqoval nails, but they never look right on me, so I’ve learned to just appreciate what I have.
I had seen this polish swatched on several other blogs, but it never really spoke to me. Seeing it here, however, it is calling my name. It looks fabulous on you and complements your skintone really nicely.
Hey Sandy!
Wow – thank you for saying that! 😀 There are so many talented beauty bloggers out there who I admire and support, so that’s a HUGE compliment!
THIS is the grey I’ve been looking for! Others I’ve seen are too light to too dark, this one is a really nice slightly darker than medium grey. 🙂 That touch of green in it really adds a modern touch to it. (I’ve noticed Elephant Walk also has a pinch of green in it) Putting this on the wishlist. 😀 As for my favorite Zoya, that’s a toughie. I always loved Isla but it’s in close contention with AEngland Perceval now. Guess that leaves Ibiza. 😀

Hey Carmela!
Zoya always makes so mannnny gorgeous shades, so it’d be hard for me to choose my favourite, too. 🙂
Psst! I STILL haven’t bought or tried any A-England nail polishes even though I’ve seen swatches of how amazing they are! One day…
