Here I am wearing yet another neon pink. While I’m not crazy about pinks in general, I’m in lust with neon pinks! They’re cheerful and hyper, and when it comes to nail lacquer, that combination is very attractive!
Duri Venom is a fun one to wear, and when people ask what you’re wearing on your nails, you can look them straight in the eye and say, “Venom!” 😉 (You’ll get such a kick out of it.)
Duri Venom is definitely a colour with some bite to it, and if you’re one who loves bright nail polishes that scream summer until their voice is hoarse, this is for you!

Duri Venom Review
Colour
Venom by Duri is most definitely a neon pink polish because it’s bright and flashy. When it comes to pink, the more obnoxious it is, the happier I am! This one made me very happy. 😉
However, it’s not the brightest neon pink I’ve ever worn. I could look at my nails in the sun without being blinded, so it wasn’t as in-your-face as it could’ve been. Nevertheless, this is one of my favourite neons.
Finish
Like most neon lacquers, this one dried on the matte side, so in order to make it shiny, you’ll need to wear a top coat.
The great thing about neons is that they dry super fast. This one was no exception. You’ll finish your manicure as quick as a wink.
Application & Formula
Venom by Duri had a very smooth, creamy consistency that was easy to control. It was also very opaque, so if you’re careful, you could probably get away with using just 2 coats to achieve full opacity. I, however, used 3 coats to even out the slight streakiness I got at 2 coats.
Also important to note is that before you apply a top coat, the manicure will look a little streaky. But once you slick on a top coat, it magically evens out so well.

Final Verdict: 9/10
It’s rare when I rate a pink polish so high. This one certainly deserved it because it made me smile every time I looked down at my nails.
There’s no faster pick-me-up than a neon manicure, and I highly recommend Duri Venom if you’re able to get hold of it. 🙂
Which neon pink polish is your favourite to wear? Have you worn Duri polishes before? Do you ever wear neon polishes without a top coat?
Very pretty! Reminds me of China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy from some angles… I’ve never ordered from Duri before! (actually I’d never heard of them before…) Is shipping cost much?
Hey MC!
You’re right – depending on the light and the angle, it can look a little Flip-Flop-Fantasy-ish, but I must say that Venom hasn’t trumped Flip Flop Fantasy. That China Glaze shade is still my favourite neon because I think the coral makes it more flattering…at least on my skin tone.
Hmm…I’m not sure about the shipping on their official site because they don’t ship to Canada. If you fill out the form with your address after placing something in your cart, you should be able to see the exact shipping rate for your destination.
Yeah, Duri isn’t easy to come by, so I guess that’s why they aren’t getting much love on blogs. So far, I’m very impressed by this brand!
Your natural light & flash photos are so good. This looks like a great and flattering neon. One of those very bright, without being obnoxious (haha I had to google how to spell obnoxious) nail polish shades. Not that the brighter in-your-face neons are bad 🙂

Hey Karen!
Haha, that’s funny because usually the sunlight photos turn out the best. Mother Nature really has the best light set-up. 😉 Thank you! I’m still hoping to improve my photography skills, so your encouragement is greatly appreciated!
All I can say is OOOOOHH – LAAA – LAAA!!! <3 I LOVE this colour! I have no neon pinks, so I may have to track this one down 😀
I really love all your swatches Mary, I look forward to them every day 🙂
Hey Erica!
Umm…*GASP*…no neon pinks? Oh boy…when you wear your first one, you’ll understand my obsession. 😉 If you can’t track this one down, I really suggest China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy (which is more of a neon coral, but it’s my all-time favourite neon polish).
Thank you so much for the compliment! 🙂 I try my hardest to capture the colour in as many different lighting situations as possible. Haha, but some days, Mother Nature doesn’t give me sunshine, so I just have to work around her. What a diva! 😉
Can never have enough pink neons!
Hey Amanda!
Amen to that, sister! 😀
I love how you describe this shade is obnoxious and hyper and both of these descriptions make me say “yes… I want”… (quite the opposite effect if those words were to describe a child for example) 😉
It it great to find neons that apply in 2-3 coats rather than more.
I ALWAYS apply a topcoat… that is only because I prefer the pop of glossy color… rarely do I venture to wear a matte polish.

Hey Marta!
Hehe, when it comes to neons, the more obnoxious and the more hyper, the better. You know how much I love me some LOUD nail polish. 😉 But, yeah, a child with that attitude…oh boy…*headache*
We’re like two peas in a pod. I rarely wear matte polish. It doesn’t do much for me. But, a glossy manicure? That makes my heart race like a monster’s behind it…haha!
Hi Mary,
This is a nice pink. I think it would look good with Minny Mouse’s Nothin’ Mousie ’bout it or New York City Ballet’s Pirouette My Whislte over this color. I’m not much on pinks but I an breaking down and buying Minny Mouse’s I’m All Ears and may be Nothin’ Mousie ’bout it. Great job as always. Have a great day. :~)
Hey Melissa!
Those are great layering ideas. I wonder how they would look! 🙂
I seem to be having a problem with Seshe Vite and it shrinking my polish 🙁 Any suggestions?
Hey Jeanette!
Hmm…there are many factors, but do you notice it shrinkage any of the polishes you wear or just some? Sometimes thin polishes don’t play well with Seche (e.g. jelly polishes).
To avoid major shrinkage, I usually wait a few minutes after my final coat before applying Seche. I know that you’re instructed to apply it onto wet polish, but I’ve found that it shrinks polish the worst that way. But, if you wait about 8 minutes after your final coat and then use Seche, it shouldn’t shrink as much.
