Zoya Beach & Surf Summer 2012 Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures

Zoya Beach & Surf Summer 2012 Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures smallerToday I’m excited to share with you the Zoya Beach & Surf Summer 2012 Collection Press Release & Promo Pictures!

Wow, this week I’ve posted more press releases in such a short time than I ever have before! I hope that you don’t mind. I really enjoy sharing information about new collections and hearing your thoughts on them. 🙂

(Don’t worry – this blog will never turn into a just-posts-about-press-releases blog!)

Zoya is a brand that I really like because they often come out with a wide spectrum of lacquer colours and finishes. There’s really something for everyone.

However, it bums me out that their website doesn’t ship to Canada and that Canadians can’t participate in their incredibly amazing online promotions.

I’ve bought several Zoya polishes from Trade Secrets, and that’s pretty much the only physical store where I can find this brand. (If you’re Canadian and have another brick-and-mortar source, please let me know!)

Since I’m a green-nail-polish junkie, I bet that you already know that I’m looking forward to seeing what Tracie looks like in person. And Meg, the foil metallic, also sounds like it could be a hit.

Carly, Zuza, and Wednesday are the other colours I zeroed in on. And I like how they named one Rory. 🙂 (I’m a big Gilmore Girls fan. In fact, I even devoted a Smorgasbord Sundays post professing my love for the show!)

All of these colours spell summer to me, and since I’m looking forward to the balmy days ahead, this collection gets the thumbs up from me.

Official press release sent to me by the company:

      Hey Brianna!

YES – corals are so gorgeous! They really spell summer to me. And over here, the weather’s been getting really balmy. We had a ridiculously mild winter here in Canada. 🙂 WOO HOO! (Haha, I dislike the cold!)

That’s horrible! Do you have someone in the US you could ship to and then that person turns around and sends it to you?

      Hey The KnitMaster!

I used to. No anymore…*Sniff sniff* Seriously, Americans have access to sooooo many incredible polishes! Sometimes it’s a good thing that as a Canadian it’s harder for me to get stuff…only because it makes it easier on my wallet. But most times (hehehe), it’s frustrating because I get teased, “Look! Look! But don’t touch!” 😛

They look gorgeous! Oh I need winter to end now!!! I would gladly receive your zoya order in US and ship it to Canada (or from any site) if you want! I don’t know if with the shipping costs is worth it, but maybe a very good promotion… 🙂

      Hey Mara!

I didn’t even feel like we had a real winter here in Canada. It was really warm and we hardly got any snow. And lately, the weather has been above seasonal and really sunny. I already feel like we’re getting into summer instead of just getting into spring! 😀 WOO HOO!

Aww…that’s so sweet of you to offer that! 😀 I used to have someone who’d do that for me, but I don’t anymore. You’re right – when Zoya has an incredible promotion (like the ones I’ve seen where you just pay for shipping or you get free polishes), it might be worth it! We’ll see…hehehe! 😉 TEMPTING!

      Hey Frosso!

Hmm…Beauty Plus Salon doesn’t ring a bell. If we have one, I’ve never seen it.

Trade Secrets here in Canada sells Zoya, but the ones near me have small offerings.

Yes, I’ve asked Zoya about expanding to Canada a couple of years ago, but it didn’t seem like it was an immediate plan. But with their continued success, I think they’ll branch out. 🙂 THEY HAVE TO! Hehehe…*Clear desperation is heard in my voice*

Ah, I totally agree about being sad that we Canadians don’t get to enjoy their awesome promotions 🙁 I”ve been dying to try Zoya for some time now. I think I may have seen some while walking by some hair salons in different malls around the GTA, but who knows how much they sell them for.

This collection is adorable. I think I like the Beach set better. Arizone, Tracie, and Wednesday stick out the most for me 😛

this is random, but, Ive always wanted to ask you how you store your nail polish? I’m not sure if you already have a post about it, but I would love to see how or what you store your humungous collection in 😀

      Hey Lawren!

If you want to try some Zoyas, check out Trade Secrets. You’ll find a few there at least. Sometimes they do carry the latest collection! 🙂

Hmm…I need to scout out the hair salons. I don’t think I paid attention or looked for Zoyas there.

I store most of my nail polish in a red IKEA Helmer that’s slightly organized by colour. I say this because the first three drawers are labelled “Green”, “Blue”, and “Purple” respectively. Then in the 4th drawer, I have oranges, pinks, and reds. The 5th drawer has yellows and golds. The 6th drawer has grays, blacks, multi-coloured glitters, mini polishes, and ‘randoms’.

Then I also have some clear plastic shoeboxes to hold even more polishes that aren’t organized. (I really need another Helmer, but I have to save up first.) After I get my second Helmer and organize everything, I’ll take photos and do a blog post on it. 🙂

Cool! Thanks for sharing, I definitely look forward to seeing that post 😛 That’s good that you organize by color too 😀

Awesome, I think I’ll keep an eye out for them whenever I come across a Trade Secrets.

I love these! I cant wait to see swatches of all the foils especially zuza! It looks like a shimmery ChG Aquadelic. Tracie looks like a winner too since I’ve been looking for a pistachio color. I usually ship my order to my parent’s house in Seattle, and they bring it up whenever they’re back in Vancouver.

      Hey Vivian!

Hope school is going alright for you and that you’re not too stressed out! 🙂

A cute pistachio polish is Butter London Bossy Boots.

Ahh…lucky that your parents are in Seattle. Hehe, that makes it very convenient indeed! 😉

      Hey Maria Saldana!

Well, maybe my Trade Secrets will get it in eventually…or I’d have to resort to eBay. :S But…yeah, I really wish that I could order from their website, especially when they have so many amazing web promotions!

Haha, yes, Katy Perry’s songs remind me of the summer, too. I blasted her songs on my iPod last year.

They are all so pretty, although I will confess that my eyes went straight to the Surf colors and jumped right in like a kid on a boogie board.

Good thing they don’t sell Zoya in any of my local stores, because I’ve promised myself that I’m going to wear more of what I already have before buying more. Of course, I made that promise AFTER the Sally’s run yesterday where I couldn’t resist snagging bottles of Riveting, Agro, and Ahoy. 😀

      Hey karen!

I like how you’re being very good about using what you already have. I’ve been trying to do the same thing – spend less on new polish and scout out the back of those neglected drawers of polishes. 😉

Hahaha…yes, making the promise after the Sally’s run was very clever on your part. Hehehheheh! (Great colours choices. Of the 3 you mentioned, I only have Ahoy, and that was amazing! Haha, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t wear much pink polish!)

      Hey Claudia!

What colour do you think Rory Gilmore would go for? I’m curious! I never really thought about it before…

Yes, I miss the show so badly, too! Wish they came out with a Gilmore Girls movie…but it’d have to be good, and not one of those movies that feels just like an extended TV show. I would love to see what happened after the last episode.

A skittle manicure with these shades would be GORGEOUS!

These are definitely tempting, oh so tempting… Love the colors – the first ones I gravitate to without much thought are Kimber (both the color and name 🙂 ), Myrta, Meg, Wednesday & Zuza. Zoya has been one of the first non-drugstore brands I have tried and continued to buy. The polishes have been great for me and l like the brush – works well with small nails. Hope they do expand to Canada, but until then – I would so be willing to be another US source, purchase or swap, anytime! I have always waited for a promo before buying (even the new colors) to help keep the price down.

      Hey Kim!

Same here – hope they consider shipping to Canada! 😀 I’m sure that I wouldn’t be the only one who’d be jumping up and down.

Aww…thanks! That’s sweet of you to volunteer as my US source. 😉 I may just take you up on that sometime!
