I was craving a funky manicure, but I didn’t have time to spend on freehand nail art. For times like these, nail stamping comes to the rescue like a caped, lacquered crusader. 😉
To create this Black & Blue Konadicure, I used Essie Lapis of Luxury, which I’ve been dying to try and the trippy full-nail pattern on Konad Image Plate m78.
As you can see, I was in quite a hurry, so the stamping is a bit fuzzy, but in real life (when your nails aren’t blown up to such a large size), the imperfections didn’t show as much.
There are tons of people who are so much better at nail stamping than I am, but the finished look was exactly what I was going for, flaws and all. 🙂

Konad Image Plate m78 Review (Trippy Pattern)
You may remember that I used this “trippy pattern” in a green and yellow manicure I did a long time ago. (In case you missed it, you can view it here.)
This pattern is very easy to pick up on your stamper, and I like how it’s a full-nail design. These kind of full-nail designs are very easy to work with, and I love how it adds a funky touch to your base colour.

What a beautiful blue! I definitely have a thing for blues, but I try to give all colors the love they deserve 🙂
Great stamp! I think you have done a good job here.

Hey Sophie!
That’s very good of you – spread the love around to all the colours! You are an awesome polish mom…hehe! 😉
Aww…thanks for saying that about my stamping, even though I smudged it terribly. Hehe, it looks better in real life. These large photos really overemphasize every mistake.
oohhh I really love that! I like the direction you placed the stamp. Yeah and that blue MUST be mine, seriously I need it. now. 🙂
Very pretty!

Hey Karen!
It’s a very pretty blue – like a periwinkle of sorts.
The pattern reminds me of those Thousand Leaves pastries. Mmm…now I’m hungry.
This looks gorgeous!! I absolutely need this blue.

Hey Makeupobsessions!
You won’t be disappointed with this one – the pigmentation was great at just 2 coats. I recommend Essie Lapis of Luxury!
How beautiful! Love the way you did the stamping, it really makes the blue pop!
Hey karen!
Thank you so much! 😀 I really like bold nail art with lots of contrast. I was really feeling this design, but I was a bit impatient when I put on the top coat. Whoooops! 😉
This is so cute!! Love it!

Aww…I’m sure you could do it after some practicing. 🙂
Love the blue, Mary! I was thisclose to putting it on the “must have” list but then I realized it looked eerily similar to Orly Snowcone. Thoughts?
The imperfections add character, is what I think. But that’s just what one amateur nail art stamper has to say about that. 😉

Hey Carmela!
I don’t have Orly Snowcone, so I can’t honestly compare them. But it’s good that you saved some money and are using what you already have. Plus Orly is known for their wonderful formulas and their awesome rubberized cap. 🙂
Hehe, thanks for saying that about the imperfections. 😀
That is a great stamp design! Must get my hands on plate m78! 🙂 That blue looks really fun.

Hey lacquerloon!
The blue was great on its own, but, yes, if you want to kick it up a notch and take it into Funky Town, you need m78! 😉
So pretty…I luv how this pattern almost looks like a watermarble..Very Funky!♥
Hey Val!
It’s cool that you mentioned it. I never thought of it before, but you’re right…It does a little! 😀
Really nice idea! I love that colour too 🙂
Hey gab!
Thanks! Konad image plates make nail art so easy – gotta love them!
This Essie polish is surely one of my favorites. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I love how the stamping looks on top. Great job!

Hey MissMidnightBlue!
Yes, it’s a spectacular blue – one of my new favourite blues because I don’t have too many periwinkle blues. 🙂
Love the cooloorrs! Awesome mani!

Hey pretty!
Thank you so much! 🙂
I love that Essie, and that stamp is great! Much easier than doing that free hand lol
Amber recently posted: Small Blog Sale!!
Hey Amber!
Oh yeah! I can’t even imagine how much patience you’d need to do those curved lines so evenly freehand! 😛 I’m sure it can be done, but when you can Konad it in seconds, Konad is the clear winner for me. 🙂
This is a really pretty shade of blue! And the stamp looks good too! You’re so much better at stamping then me lol! 🙂
Ivy recently posted: Nubar Meadow Sparkle + Stamp
Hey Ivy!
THANK YOU! 🙂 I love how positive you are even though I smeared the design! Seriously, I don’t think I’m as good as stamping as most other people. And you can get better with more practice. 🙂
Wow, this is gorgeous! I’ve always wanted to try nail stamping. I was very close to picking up a nail stamper the other day and put it back. Your post might of convinced me I need to go back and get it! 😉

Hey PinkGlitter!
Do you know what image plates you want to get or what kind of designs you’d like to start off with? I suggest going for full-nail patterns first because they’re sometimes easier to transfer onto your nails.
