Haul of Shame: NYX Eyeshadow Pigments & Lip Glosses from HauteLook

Image of NYX Eyeshadow Pigments & Lip Glosses** This post was written by Fiona. She no longer blogs for Swatch And Learn. However, Mary still continues to blog and will be happy to reply to your comment. **

As you may already know: I don’t have much self-control. When I see something I like, I tend to buy, buy, buy until my wallet’s squealing louder than a car alarm that went off in the middle of the night. I’m a little crazy like that. Case in point: The insane haul of NYX eyeshadow pigments & lip glosses I got from HauteLook when they had a super NYX sale one time.

I normally get the NYX pigments from Cherry Culture at a really good price. But HL had 2 sets of 28 of these pigments on sale. With shipping and international fees, each came to about $2. So naturally, I got both sets. *hangs head*

“Why stop there?” I asked my frightened credit card who’s gone completely white in the face. I also picked up a set of lip glosses on sale, too. *drops head to ground*

Want to see the mountain of pigments I got? Warning: Please make sure your chin is at least 2 feet from the ground as your jaw might drop.

I caught these during a limited-time NYX sale at HauteLook (their sales change frequently). If you’d like to grab these before NYX appears on HL again or if you only want certain colors, Cherry Culture sells them for $4.25 each (for both shadows and glosses).

Anyway, it’s not a completely selfish haul. Five of the eyeshadows pigments and one of the glosses are featured in our Swatch And Learn 1-year blog anniversary giveaway! Check out the post for other great prizes and how to enter. Hurry as the giveaway ends on Swatch And Learn’s birthday: July 25. Good luck!

If you’d like to request swatches for any of these, let me know and I’d be happy to do them for you! 😛

Do you think I went crazy getting all these eye shadows? Which color is your favorite?

🙂 And I’d love to see your haul post and pictures when you do! Can’t wait, because I like to be excited for others… and because it makes me feel less insane to know someone else is like me. 😛

Hahah. Yes, I’m a little ashamed, but I must admit that I love seeing all the shadows together. Just thinking of all the makeup possibilities makes me -> :D.

      Hi Amber!

Key Lime caught my eye, too! I’ll be doing swatches of each color group soon – the thought of doing all of them at once scared me. LOL. 😛

I’ve never used pigments… I almost bought couple mac ones, but I backed out. Maybe I’ll try nyx ones first.

      Hi Bailey!

Pigments can be a little messy if you’re starting out, but don’t let that stop you! 😛 They’re so fun to play with and offer great color payoff. But if you’re just starting out, NYX would definitely be the cheaper brand to try. Did you enter our giveaway?

Whoa! Now that’s what I call “I so shouldn’t have but just couldn’t resist’…heheh, we all have our moments. Well, I don’t have a credit card yet (16 ) and swear never to let loose around online deals (fingers crossed)…

I am in LOVE with the BROWNS/ORANGES! They look soo beautiful! I’m all into neutrals and shades around them at the moment…although I love blue on my eyes!

I haven’t tried any pigments but don’t think I’d ever get many…don’t think I’ll ever finish any…but I would make an exception for a color I’d wear all the time…something like a peachy-pink champagne color..*drools

Hahhaa Yes. I sooooooo shouldn’t have!

I love, love, love peachy-pink/champagne colors. My favorite shades right now (aside from all my blues) are UD Sin and Chopper. Soooooooo pretty. I use them to complement other colors every day.

      Hey Lara!

The pigments shown in this post are all owned by Fiona (who also wrote this post). She doesn’t blog on here anymore…however, I may have this pigment in my collection. I’ll have to go look for it. If I find it, I’ll swatch it for you. 🙂
