I’m not obsessed with Hello Kitty merchandise, but I do think she’s cute. So when the Born Pretty Store was giving away 1000 or so image plates featuring the adorable feline, how could I resist?
I’ve had the plate for a while, so it’s about time that I used it, right? Did you join in this promotion and get yours free, too? Share your Hello Kitty manicure with me – I’d love to see!
After playing around with it for a bit, these are my Hello Kitty Nails using the Born Pretty Store Image Plate M71!
It’s nothing fancy, but it did make me smile every time I looked at them.

Born Pretty Store Image Plate M71 Review (Hello Kitty)
When I first received this free plate during Born Pretty Store‘s special promotion, the disc had images that were cut-off. After contacting them, they were very polite and offered to send me a replacement that had all the images showing up. Especially because the plate was free to begin with, I was pleasantly surprised with how great their customer service was.
The image you see above is the 2nd plate they sent me. To see the first plate, click here.
Although I was concerned that all the whiskers and small details wouldn’t transfer onto my nails properly, I was glad to learn that they did quite easily. Picking up the Hello Kitty image on my stamper gave me no trouble at all, which means the image is engraved deep enough to allow the polish to get into all the grooves.

Hey thenailaholic!
Thanks – glad you loved it and that you also managed to get the image plate for free. 🙂
Have you done any stamping with it yet? I have some ideas for using it again, but doing a more intricate design. This was just me first testing it out to see the quality of the image plate. Next time, I’ll incorporate some full-nail designs alongside the Hello Kitty image.

Hey Ruthe!
Glad you liked it! 🙂
Yes, that plate is worth it just for that Hello Kitty image! 😛 Maybe they’ll have it in another free promotion soon. Who knows? But they do sell it normally. I think the regular price is pretty reasonable.
sure she is cute hello kitty
This is so cute 🙂 I actually have this nail plate just no tool yet!

Oh, you need to get your stamp and scraper soon so you can try it out! When you do, I’d love to see pictures of what you’ve come up with. 🙂
I haven’t really stamped much but I think I need this plate! I love all things hello kitty so I’m willing to get it even if it’s not free for me.

Hey Katie!
Oh, once you try stamping more, it definitely gets addictive! 😛 And, yes, if you’re really into Hello Kitty, you need this. Even if you don’t get it for free, it’s still sold at a decent price.
Do you have any ideas as for the nail design you’ll do with this image plate? I just did a simple stamping a Hello Kitty, but you could maybe have some other nails in a full-design pattern so Hello Kitty stands out on your ring finger or something like that…
I’m not really sure yet but I know I want to use a neon pink polish with black hello kitties to match my new Hello Kitty Vans. I think that if I do end up getting this plate I’ll be using it a lot though!
Hey Katie!
Ohh…Hello Kitty Vans sound absolutely adorable! That’s a really cute idea to match your manicure to your Vans.
