A lot of people are over crackle polishes because every company is putting out the same colors. It’s becoming a game of copycat.
But I’m still on the Crackle Caboose! Although, I did feel the need to do something different by creating this Rainbow Crackle Konadicure.
I made use of Konad Special Nail Polishes, Bundle Monster Image Plate BM-208, and OPI Alpine Snow.
This is the first time that I’ve used more than one stamping color on the same image. And I’m pleased with how it turned out, even though it’s not perfect. Reminds me a bit of a painting because of the way some of the colors bled.

Rainbow Crackle Konadicure Swatches
All swatches have:
- 1 coat of OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
- 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow
- Stamping polishes (Konad Special Nail Polish): Green, blue, purple, pink, yellow & red

Bundle Monster Image Plate BM-208 Review (Crackle image on left)
If you remember a previous post I did, I tried out the other crackle pattern (the one in the middle) on this image plate. (Check out my Crackle Manicure with Sephora by OPI Caught with My Khakis Down here.)
Since that turned out well, I decided to try the other crackle pattern (on the left). Since the stamping color would show up most, I decided to use multiple colors for a rainbow effect. And I used OPI Alpine Snow for the background to accentuate the bright colors.
The image itself picked up very well, but because I was in a hurry (why am I always in a hurry?), there’s some smudging and there are missing sections. But y’know what? I think the imperfections add to this particular manicure because it doesn’t look so…stenciled. It has more of a personal touch.

What I Used:
- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
- OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
- Konad Special Nail Polish (Red, pink, yellow, purple, green & blue)
- OPI Alpine Snow
- Konad stamper & plastic scraper
- Bundle Monster Image Plate BM 208

Step 1: Unscrew the caps from all your bottles. The last thing you want to be struggling with when your nails are wet is opening up a difficult cap. Also, get all your materials ready and within arm’s reach.
Step 2: Apply your basecoat and allow to dry. (I used OPI Natural Nail Base Coat.)
Step 3: Apply enough coats of white-creme polish for full (or almost full) opacity and allow to dry completely. This is important so that the vibrant rainbow colors you use really pop.
Alternative color idea: How about painting your nails all black and then using several different metallic polishes? You’d get a cool futuristic finish! If you do this, show me. I’d love to see your creativity at work. 🙂
OPI Alpine Snow
Step 4: Choose the stamping colors you’d like to use. Apply the colors in stripes diagonally across the image on the plate. (See image below.)
It’s okay if the colors touch. Actually, the nails I liked the most were the ones where the colors bled into each other.
I realize that not everyone is a nailphile like I am, so even if you have just 2 different colors, you can still use this technique. Just alternate the stripes between the 2 colors.
But if you have many colors, I suggest changing the order of the striped colors for each nail. This way you’ll get to enjoy all the colors and won’t just see the same main color on every single nail. (E.g. You can see on my middle finger, the pink and yellow mainly show, whereas on my pinkie, just the red and pink show. It’s nice to have that variation.)
Step 5: Use the plastic scraper to scrape the excess polish off. Scrape in the same direction as the stripes, unless you actually want more colors to bleed into other colors (which is a cool effect, too).
From this point, you need to work really fast before the polish dries.
Step 6: Pick up the image on your stamper and transfer the image onto your nail. Repeat for all nails.
Step 7: After waiting 10-15 minutes, apply a top coat to seal all your hard work.
Step 8: Talk with your hands a lot so you can show off your cool new rainbow crackle Konadicure! 😀

This is amazing! I just recently started doing faux-nad with the Bundle Monster set I ordered. I absolutely love it. I’ve been looking for really nice pictures and ideas and I came across your blog. Now I’ve ordered another set for my co-worker’s birthday b/c I’ve gotten her obsessed also.

Have you ever done water marbling on your nails? It’s also a bit messy but it’s a LOT of fun too. If you look water marbling up on youtube, check out the videos by Simple Little Pleasures. She does amazing nail vids. I don’t know her personally but I like the videos.
