Call me a one-trick pony if you want, but here I am with another green eyeshadow. (I’m not afraid to admit that I might have a slight addiction.) Today’s green star is Milani Runway Eyes Shadow Shamrock. It’s a dark leafy green with a sprinkle of sparkles. Sounds beautiful, right?
Well, I can’t say I’m absolutely in love with it, and it’s not my go-to green. But the shimmery finish makes it a pretty shadow to have in your collection. It fits nicely into mine, at least. Come see what I like and don’t like about Milani Shamrock!

Milani Shamrock Eyeshadow Review
Some advice about wearing Milani Shamrock: make sure you have a good primer!
Color & Finish
On its own, Milani Shamrock eyeshadow is dull, dull, DULL. It’s a muddy and faint shade that barely shows up on the skin. Majorly lacks pigment. But with a primer, the shade’s vibrancy emerges a bit and you get a much prettier green.
I like the shimmery finish of Milani eyeshadow in Shamrock because it doesn’t make my eyes look like a disco ball. But it adds just enough of a visual effect to my makeup because the glitter is quite fine. When worn wet though, Shamrock shimmers even more brilliantly.
Even with a primer or applying it wet, the shade is still too muddy for my liking. But that’s a subjective thing. What do you think of the color?
Application
The shadow comes with a unique dual-ended brush that Milani claims to make application easier. It doesn’t.
The brush end is for applying your shadow dry, but the bristles don’t pick up and distribute the pressed powder properly. Lots of product waste! Use your own brush instead and you get a better application. The sponge end is for wet application, but I don’t use it, either. The curvature of the brush is really odd, making it hard to hold. Toss!
As promised, the Milani Shamrock eye shadow does go on smoothly and evenly. I didn’t have any issues with that.
Staying Power
Another reason why I suggest a good primer is because this shadow does not stay on. On bare lid, the shadow will fade from where you put it… and end up in the crease of your eye. So make sure to prime it up to avoid fading and creasing!
Packaging
I like how the packaging isn’t run-of-the mill. It makes me want to grab this shadow more from my collection. And I think having the shadow in a half-ball dome shape is really cute!
That aside, I don’t like how it opens. You have to basically wedge your nail in to open it. Welllllll, what about my manicure? It doesn’t damage my nails, but anything that could scratch the polish off, I’d like to avoid please!

Final Verdict: 7.8/10
It’s true: I can’t say no to green eyeshadows! Milani Shamrock isn’t my favorite – I would like better color payoff and staying power from it. But a little primer fixes that right up, so I’ll allow it to stay in my collection. 😛
