Zoya Seashells Collection Swatches

Zoya Seashells Collection Swatches

If you’re still riding the textured trend like I am, you’ll be excited about the new PixieDust nail polishes in the Zoya Seashells Collection!

(To see the details of the colour story, check out the official Zoya Seashells Collection press release that I posted on the blog earlier. This collection is currently available for sale on Zoya’s website.)

The formulas on all of these are exactly what I expected from Zoya. They cover well, are easy to paint with, and you won’t need more than two coats to reach full opacity.

Additionally, they dry exceptionally fast, which makes them the ideal choice when you’re in a pinch and need a fresh manicure.

Which ones are calling out your name?

One of my favourites is Cece (the green), which should come as no surprise. Another favourite is Zooey (coral pink), which surprised me because I liked it way more on the nail than in the bottle.

The swatches in this post were taken in artificial light, but when I wear them as full manicures, I’ll be sure to review at least one in a separate, detailed review because you really need to see them in natural light! They look even better!

I love how there’s a light sprinkling of holographic glitter in the Zoya Seashells Collection! There’s just enough to make it twinkle a little extra without being a disco ball.

Edit (May 21, 2016): If you’re interested in the creme polishes, check out my Zoya Sunsets Collection swatches!

They’re all pretty, but CeCe, Bay, and Tilly are calling my name. I think I might have to get these for my ever growing collection. Thanks for sharing them with us. They’re all so gorgeous and look great on you.

      Hey Melissa!

I’m in love with the Zoya Seashells Collection AND the Zoya Sunsets Collection. Zoya has a major win all around for Summer 2016! 🙂

      Hey Renée!

That blue is really pretty, hehe, but they all are. Zoya did an amazing job with these. So pigmented and sparkly! Love the textured PixieDusts!

Hmm, I’m curious how well these wear. When I’ve gotten the Pixie Dusts with the larger holographic glitter pieces in the past, I found that they were more inclined to chip. :S That being said, I still really want a few of these…. or maybe all of them. 🙂

      Hey Desiree!

Even though they’re designed NOT to be used with a base coat, did you try experimenting with some base coats to see if they’d help? Sometimes I still wear a base coat with my PixieDust polishes.

On me, they wear very well, but I don’t usually wear the same colour for too long. As a nail blogger, I think the longest time I’ve recently worn the same colour straight is maybe a week or so. I tend to switch up my manicures in two days or so, unless I’m really busy or I’m in mad love with the colour.

PixieDust polishes tend to last on me without chipping for nearly the same time as a regular polish, but when I wear one of these as a full manicure and do an in-depth review on a single shade, I’ll be sure to mention if it chips prematurely.

      Hey Anouk!

I haven’t worn any PixieDusts for quite a long time, so I’d need to pull out the ones I have to check it out. I can’t think of any dupes off the top of my head, though, because of the sprinkling of holographic glitter mixed into these shades.

      Hey LemonBerry Blog!

It’s very summery and makes me think of going to the beach. I think you’ll love it in person! 🙂

Will you do a comparison with other Zoya Pixie Dusts? I’d love to see how close these are to other textured polishes from the same brand! Thanks for sharing your swatches!

      Hey PW!

I’m not sure yet if I’ll do any comparisons, but if I do, I’ll share them on social media and/or update the blog post to include the side-by-side swatches.

Are there specific colours that you’d like to see comparisons for?

I was having *such* a hard time choosing these colours! In the end I went with Zooey as my first choice because I think you photographed it so beautifully, plus it surprised you so much out of the bottle! I’m really lacking in peachy/coral pinks and the texture and glitter is a big influence too. You’ve sold me on the summery vibe, so I’m really looking forward to trying it out soon!

      Hey Addison!

At first, I thought that the green was going to be my favourite, but I changed my mind. Zooey is the winner! 🙂 It spells summer to me.

So happy to hear that you enjoyed my swatches, and I hope that you love Zooey as much as I do!
