OPI I Just Can’t Cope-acabana is from the Brazil Collection, and it’s the most pigmented yellow nail polish I’ve ever worn!
I was very surprised because, going into the painting process, I was expecting to need to use 4 coats. (A lot of yellows I’ve tried in the past need multiple coats to get decent coverage.)
OPI I Just Can’t Cope-acabana only needed 2 medium coats to get the coverage you see in this photo and the other ones in this post! Zero streakiness at this point. Colour me impressed!
P.S. Today is the LAST DAY to enter my OPI Brazil Collection giveaway for Canadians! Be sure to get your entry in by 11:59 pm EST!

OPI I Just Can’t Cope-acabana Review
Colour
Sunshine yellow is definitely a great way to describe I Just Can’t Cope-acabana by OPI. It’s so happy, and it reminds me of smiley faces.
While it can be difficult wearing yellows, I found this one to be a total breeze. I think it’s because this is a clean yellow that doesn’t have an orange undertone.
Finish
The creme finish really gave it an Easter-y appearance – I couldn’t help but think of those yummy, candy-coated chocolate eggs! Mmm!
Since it’s a creme nail polish, it was a cinch to remove. No scrubbing needed.
Application & Formula
Here’s where this polish blew me away! Usually yellow nail polishes are known for being streaky, so they often require 3+ coats.
So you can imagine my shock and delight when I used 2 coats of this, and it covered like a dream!
Whatever OPI did, it’s like magic! This is by far the best-covering yellow nail polish that I have ever worn. And the streakiness? This one was so smooth, and I couldn’t see any streakiness with just 2 coats! I’m very impressed with Just Can’t Cope-acabana by OPI!

Hey Liz!
I really love yellows. Some can be tricky to pull off, but I still love them because it’s like bringing the sunshine with you wherever you go.
This yellow in particular is amazing because of the great coverage. I wish all yellow polishes were as easy and smooth like this one!
The only thing that’s prevented me from buying a yellow has been their reputation for formula problems. So, I don’t have a yellow yet–but I think I may get this one!
Hey Jessica!
This is definitely THE one to get. I’ve never worn a yellow that had this great coverage. I wonder why most are a streaky mess. Must be something to do with the pigment.
THIS YELLOW! I am totally needing this in my collection.

Hey Cici!
You’ll love it! I could barely believe how good the formula was, especially for a yellow! I can see myself wearing this a lot when I want to perk up. This is a great yellow that’s not too mellow or too vibrant.
great mani

Hey Pretty Purple!
Thank you so much! 🙂 I’m really loving the entire OPI Brazil Collection – it stands apart and is very memorable. I mean, OPI has come out with a lot of incredible collections, but they really outdid themselves this time!
This is one of my favorite polishes EVER! Love the color so much!

Hey Brittnee!
It’s really a great yellow – I want to wear it again soon. It’s happy and sunny without being too pale or too bright. I also think this kind of yellow is easier to wear for all different skin tones.
Hey Mary! I love your blog I wait eagerly to read your posts daily 😀 so glad to know its a two coater. It’s going to be my first OPI yellow. I was wondering if you knew what the name of the nail polish meant? I couldn’t decipher it.
Hey Nims!
THANK YOU for leaving me such an encouraging comment! It puts the wind in my sail, and it’s comments like yours that make me smile ear to ear and propel me to continue doing what I love to do – blog!
I think the play on words is based on “Copacabana”. It’s a city in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
oh, i just LOVE your swatches!! I bought this one when they came out, but i haven’t worn it yet because i was waiting for warmer weather. This is my first yellow! Your review makes me wanna put it on RIGHT NOW! 🙂
Hey Pema Grey!
Are you sure that you want to wait for the warm weather before you enjoy this yellow? 😉 I couldn’t wait…hehe! It’s the best yellow that I can remember wearing. If only all yellows applied this easily and wonderfully!
Oh that’s a smart name there. XD Thanks for interpreting it Mary 🙂
Hey Nims!
No problem! Hehe, it also reminds me of that Barry Manilow song, Copacabana! (Confession: When I applied this nail polish the first time, that song was running through my head, and it made me laugh! You’ve probably heard the song, but if you haven’t, check it out on YouTube! Hehe!)
Hey Mary!
I haven’t heard the song yet but I’ll check it out. For some reason I thought the name of the polish was cope-banana. XD Maybe because its a yellow polish :p Then days later I noticed the spelling. :p
Hey Nims!
That would be a fun name because it IS indeed a great banana shade!
Hey Mary!
That’s true. Looking forward to wear this shade. 😀
Hey Nims!
I’m sure it’ll knock your socks off, especially if you use it as a pedicure! 😉 Hehe, I couldn’t resist the pun!
Haha! Good one XD
Hey Nims!
Hehe, glad you thought it was funny, and thanks for not throwing rotten tomatoes. 😉
