My cuticles may be as dry as the Sahara Desert, and the yellow I sported earlier may have slightly stained my cuticles a bit, but I hope that you can overlook all that and concentrate on the Soft Shade beauty that is OPI Glints of Glinda from the Oz the Great and Powerful Collection.
You know that I prefer manicures that whallop gongs rather than tap the triangle, but something about this nail polish wooed me.
This is the closest to Mannequin Hands that I’ve ever had. I’ve long admired the look on others, but all the softer colours I’ve tried were either too light, too dark, or too yellow.
OPI Glints of Glinda isn’t a perfect match to my skin tone, but it was close enough that I felt comfortable and happy sporting it!
Out of all the 3 delicate shades in the Oz Collection, this is the one that I can picture myself wearing many times. I think it’ll be a great palate cleanser in between the bold shades I usually sport.

OPI Glints of Glinda Review
Colour
Glints of Glinda by OPI is a yellow-based beige that acts as foundation for my nails. With my skin tone, it blends in very well for that natural, clean-looking Mannequin Hands look that was especially popular a couple of years ago.
If you like polishes that don’t attract attention to your nails or if you have a job where loud colours aren’t appropriate, this may be a great choice if your skin tone is near mine.
However, just like foundations for the face, one shade doesn’t suit all. On some people who have pink undertones, I have a feeling that this will be much too yellow. (Even though I have golden undertones, it’s slightly more yellow on me.)
Finish
OPI Glints of Glinda has a creme finish with a really soft look about it. It doesn’t appear flat, but it’s not a jelly, either.
Application & Formula
As with the other Soft Shades in the collection, this one was also streaky and on the sheer side. I needed to use 3 medium coats to fully cover my nail – not bad, but not the best formula, either. Three coats is do-able considering this is the closest to Mannequin Hands I’ve ever gotten!

Final Verdict: 8/10
Yeah, look at that high score! I really liked wearing OPI Glints of Glinda, and it surprised even me! I’ll definitely wear this again, hehe, except next time I hope my cuticles will be more hydrated and not stained from a yellow polish. 😉
Do you like the Mannequin Hands look? Which polish have you worn that gave you Mannequin Hands? What lacquer surprised you the first time you wore it?
looks good on you
Hey Icequeen81!
Thank you so much! 🙂 It’s really different for me, and this is one soft shade that actually doesn’t intimidate me…surprisingly!
Wow! That does look nice and is pretty close to your skin-tone. I haven’t found one that matches perfectly either, but then I haven’t really been looking. 😉

Hey Lizzy!
Sometimes, when you aren’t looking, the perfect skin-toned polish creeps up from behind, covers your eyes, and asks, “Guess who!” 😉 SURPRISE!
