I don’t own many pinks in my nail polish collection. It’s because purples and greens are like shiny things to me. Once I see them, I get distracted. Which is why I was surprised that e.l.f. Essentials Berry Pink Nail Polish caught my eye. I’m not used to wearing pinks on my nails, but I think I like it. I think. Sort of.
Is it just me, or does e.l.f. Berry Pink remind you of Barbie, too? Y’know, the color that the name is written in? Maybe that’s why I’m hesitating to like it. Barbie isn’t really my thing. I remember playing with the dolls, the clothing and shoes when I was younger. I even had a Barbie motorcycle. But when I grew up, I remember thinking she lives in such excess and discarded her.

elf Berry Pink Review
Color
elf Berry Pink definitely isn’t afraid to be, well, pink. It’s a deep blush pink that’s rich and eye-catching. If I look closely, I can see a very subtle shimmery veil on top of the color. This adds to the depth of the shade, taking it from just a plain ol’ cream color to something a little more exciting. I would’ve liked this shimmer to be much more apparent though.
Opacity
Don’t expect too much. This elf Essentials Berry Pink nail polish is at least a 3 coater. At least. I stopped at 3 coats, but I think a 4th coat would be beneficial in adding even more richness to the color.
Consistency & Application
Though I wouldn’t call it a dream to apply, e.l.f. Berry Pink went on easy enough. BP is definitely thinner in consistency than the other elf Cosmetics polishes I tried… which is why the 1st coat was slightly patchy. But the 2nd and 3rd coats evened out the color well.
As for the drying time, I’d wait about 8 minutes in between coats. It’s not bad. Pretty decent, I think.
Finish
It doesn’t dry incredibly glossy, so if you want that, do make sure to add a top coat. But it does have a shiny and smooth finish to it that you can get away without a TC.
Longevity
Berry Pink by e.l.f. stands up to the test of time and wear pretty well. If you’re used to changing your polish every 4-5 days or so, you shouldn’t have too many complaints about it. It’ll last you about that long.

Final Verdict: 7.4/10
It’s a pretty color, but it’s kind of dull at the same time. I don’t know. I just can’t fully stand behind it. It doesn’t grab me enough.
What do you think of this shade? Do you like reds, blues, purples, greens or pinks more?
