Yes To Cucumbers Natural Glow Facial Towelettes Review & Pictures

Yes to Cucumbers Natural Glow Facial Towelettes Review & PicturesThere are those nights when I come home at a crazy hour. All I want to do is hit the sack, but of course I have to brush my teeth and wash my face (especially since I wear makeup).

Normally I use the Philosophy Purity Made Simple cleanser, but for nights when I’m about to drop dead from exhaustion, facial wipes are what I groggily reach for. I don’t use them on a regular basis, though.

So when I got the opportunity to try the Yes To Cucumbers Natural Glow Facial Towelettes, I was eager because it contains some certified organic ingredients and actually is made of biodegradable material, so you don’t have to feel guilty about adding to the landfill.

How effectively do these cleanse your skin? Are they gentle enough for sensitive skin? There’s only one way to find out!

Fragrance

There is a very mild scent that actually does remind me of cucumbers. It’s light and fresh – doesn’t smell like chemicals or heavy perfume like some disposable facial wipes do.

Is It Safe for Sensitive Skin & the Eye Area?

Yes! I have sensitive skin, and my eyes are also very sensitive, so I was a prime candidate to test this out. I’m pleased to report that I didn’t have any irritation after using this. And I didn’t break out, either.

This product was ophthalmologist tested and claims to be hypoallergenic. It’s also oil-free and non-comedogenic.

Does It Cleanse Well & Remove Makeup Effectively?

It did remove all of my mineral foundation off my face, and my skin didn’t feel tight or dry afterwards. (I purposely skipped using a moisturizer afterwards to test this.) This is probably because it doesn’t contain any alcohol, which can be extremely drying.

It also can remove waterproof makeup, but you’ll have to do a bit of rubbing to get it all off. (It removed my waterproof Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil that I was wearing after I went over the area a few times.)

How Moist Are These Towelettes?

I’ve tried a few different brands. Some were wetter and some are naturally drier. These are on the drier side, but are still moist enough that you don’t feel like you’re just running a tissue over your face.

How Do You Use It?

Just pull one sheet out from the pack and wipe your face! You don’t need to use any water, and you don’t need to rinse your face after using it. Because of this, they’re perfect for traveling.

Ingredients

For those who want to use more natural products, you’ll love the Yes To Cucumbers Natural Glow Facial Towelettes. They contain 98.7% natural ingredients, according to the packaging. There are even a few certified organic ingredients.

Animal-Friendliness

The Yes To company doesn’t support animal testing, so you can feel good about that!

Environmental-Friendliness

You may think that disposable wipes will just pile up in the landfill, but these are great because according to the package, they’re actually “biodegradable, natural cloth, FSC fabric”.

Packaging

It’s pretty standard. The Yes To Cucumbers face wipes come in a recyclable package with a plastic lid that can be snapped shut to keep air out.

What really got me was that when you flip the lid open, you’re greeted with a fun message: “Wipe that smile ON your face!” It made me laugh.

Storage Tip

Any wipes can dry out if you don’t store them properly and keep the cover closed. I suggest keeping the package turned upside down. That way the moist towelette will be the one on top, which is the one you’ll use.

Limited-Time Buy 1, Get 1 Free Deal

      Hey M!

If you do decide to try out these towelettes, check back in and let me know how you like ’em. 🙂

I see that you’re giving away Rainkissed Leaves! Nice clean scent. Fiona is a HUGE fan of it and she has stockpiled tons of bottles. (I even offered to help her carry bags of it in case she wanted to buy more. Hehe!) Your readers are gonna go crazy over that giveaway! 😀

I am TOTALLY going to try those out. I also have sensitive skin and am sometimes too lazy to wash my face properly at night…..(bowing my head in shame)

Yes I also have a massive stockpile, although mine is a mix of Body cream, body lotion, shower gel, body spray and 2 bottles of the eau d’toilette. I am also an addict!

I figured I would give Fiona a chance at twinning some more for her stockpile….lol.

They also have Yes to Blueberry towelettes. I wonder how they’d smell and if they’d perform the same as the cucumber one.

Hehe, it’s so easy to get addicted to Bath & Body Works products because they’re always having a crazy sale going on. And they come out with new scents all the time. Hard on my wallet! Can’t they just have a bad spell of fragrances that I don’t like for once? Haha! 😛

OH. MY. GOSH. Excuse me while I faint. You’re giving away Rainkissed Leaves?! I don’t think I could ever part with any of my 25 bottles of body lotion.

I went to B&BWs today actually and stared sadly at the shelf where all the Rainkissed Leaves lotions used to be. Sad face.
