In yesterday’s post, I shared with you my Toronto Fashion Week 2016 (Day 1) experience and photos that I captured during the event.
Today, I’m sharing some Nail and Makeup Inspiration from Toronto Fashion Week 2016 (Day 1) from the Mikhael Kale show.
The models wore Essie After School Boy Blazer and Essie Stylenomics on their nails and Maybelline New York makeup.
You’ll find the details on how to recreate the looks, along with some model shots to give you a better idea overall.
All images in this post are courtesy of Essie and Maybelline.
What do you think of the nail and makeup looks?
Hi Mary, I always find runway nail looks to be surprisingly blah! I think it must be because the clothes are supposed to be the focus, not the nails. Another thing I’ve noticed is that these models, while having the supposedly coveted skinny bodies (I say “supposedly” because I believe this is an industry-imposed standard that looks unhealthy), generally have unimpressive nails! Bitten way down, dry raggedy cuticles, uneven shapes… The nail bloggers do it better!!!
Hey Cat!
Whenever I begin replying to your comments, I always want to say, “MEOW!” right off the bat. 🙂 From one cat lover to another. (Sometimes I think I’m a cat trapped in a human’s body. Don’t worry – it’s only sometimes…) 😉
Haha, “Nail Bloggers Do It Better”! I have a strong desire to get that printed on a shirt. (As much as I like to joke around, I’m serious about this. I would just get it on a plain, solid-coloured shirt. Simple font. I love the idea of it!)
Very cool looks. Even though it’s almost Spring, I’m really loving the vampy nails. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hey Melissa!
The runway shows are always working ahead, so these looks are for Fall 2016. Still, though, I would totally wear dark colours in the spring and summer, too! 🙂
