OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set Press Release & Promo Picture

OPI Neon Revolution Press Release & Promo PictureOkay, so with my new blogging schedule of Monday through Friday, some of you may be surprised to see a post on Saturday.

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of press releases for nail polishes, and instead of saving them for next week, I thought I’d keep this lacquer train chugging along so that starting Monday, I can start showing swatches and a review. šŸ™‚

Today’s press release is on theĀ OPI Neon Revolution Mini Set!

Mini sets are really adorable because the bottles are so small. There’s 3.75 mL of product in each bottle. And I love how collectible they are.

I also love using mini polishes on my toenails (the rare time I paint them). My feet are women’s size 5, and I have small toes. The tiny brush in a mini bottle is the perfect size for ‘Cinderella feet’. (‘Cinderella feet’ is how my dad used to describe my pedal pushers.) šŸ˜‰

OPI’s PR was generous to send me this mini set, so expect to see a review on it in the near future.

Nail Art Tutorial: Owl Nails

Nail Art Tutorial Owl NailsIt has been a long time since I did freehand nail art with eyes (hehe), and you know what? I missed it so much! (There’s something really fun about looking at your nails and having them look back at you. Or maybe that’s just me.)

As you know, I’m on Pinterest (it’s so addictive!), and the minute I saw these cute little owls, I knew I had to recreate them on my nails. It was exactly the inspiration I needed to get cracking!Ā Release the Kraken!Ā (Felt like saying that.)

Whether it’s nail art, lunch bags, necklaces, or artwork, I have a thing for owls!

So, for today’s post, I have anĀ Owl Nail Art TutorialĀ for you with step-by-step written instructions and photos.

Although I used similar colours like in the original design I was inspired by, mine turned out slightly different because of my nail-painting style. Also, I have narrower nail beds. But, this just shows you that you can recreate any look, even if your nails are small.Ā Where there’s a will, there’s a way!Ā šŸ˜‰

I think it’s important to remember that when recreating a look, it doesn’t have to be an exact replica of the original. It’s fun to keep the general vibe of the design, but to still be comfortable with putting your own spin on it.

OPI A-Piers to Be Tan Swatches & Review

OPI A-Piers to Be Tan Swatches & ReviewOPI A-Piers to Be TanĀ from the San Francisco Collection coming out on August 7 isn’t a colour that would typically catch my attention.

I don’t wear a lot of browns, and when I do sport one, it’s usually really dark and shimmery.

So, this is completely out of my comfort zone, but sometimes you’ve just gotta try something to see if you’ll like it.

Well, I didn’t fall in love with it. It suited my skin tone, the formula was smooth and perfect, but the colour itself was too toned down for my taste. (Haha, I tend to get excited more about tacky manicures than sophisticated ones.)

But I was determined to find another way to wear it. Drop by Swatch And Learn tomorrow, and you’ll see the freehand nail art I did with this as the base. (I’ll also include a step-by-step tutorial for it.) I ended upĀ lovingĀ that manicure, and OPI A-Piers to Be Tan was the perfect base colour I needed!

OPI Incognito in Sausalito Swatches & Review

OPI Incognito in Sausalito Swatches & ReviewWhile you may be feeling the brighter shades during the warm season, I still want to show youĀ OPI Incognito in Sausalito.

It’s from the upcoming OPI San Francisco Collection for Fall/Winter, which will officially hit stores on August 7.

You got a peek at it recently when I layered it underneath OPI Minnie Style, a whimsical magenta-and-white-hexagon-glitter polish.

If you’re looking for a vampy shade that’s really dark, but that just has a sliver of navy blue, this might be something you’ll gravitate toward.

OPI Minnie Style Swatches & Review (Layered Over OPI Incognito in Sausalito)

OPI Minnie Style Swatches & ReviewWhen I posted a quick group bottle shot of the OPI Couture de Minnie Collection on Instagram, one of my followers/readers mentioned being curious about seeingĀ OPI Minnie StyleĀ layered over black.

Okay, initially, I was going to wear it over black, but I decided to add a slight twist with a very-dark blue. It’s close enough to black, so I think it’ll still scratch the itch of seeing it over black.

The dark blue I used beneath OPI Minnie Style is OPI Incognito in Sausalito, which is from the OPI San Francisco Collection coming out in August.

OPI Innie Minnie Mightie Bow Swatches & Review

OPI Innie Minnie Mightie Bow Swatches & ReviewSometimes you want sexy-vixen nails that you imagine a femme fatale in film noir would wear.

When you’re in that mood, I suggest you reach forĀ OPI Innie Minnie Mighty Bow, which is from the OPI Couture de Minnie Collection!

Not only is the name a bit of a tongue twister (I loved practicing those when I was a kid!), but the colour is so hot, you’d better turn the fan on to cool off. šŸ˜‰ It’s like a hot pepper for your nails! Caliente!

Every so often, I get in the mood to sport a classy red. This is exactly the type I would go for, and I know I’ll be wearing this again!

OPI A Definite Moust-Have Swatches & Review

OPI A Definite Moust-Have Swatches & ReviewOPI A Definite Moust-HaveĀ is now the 3rd nail polish I’ve reviewed from the OPI Couture de Minnie Collection.

When I first saw the bottle, I can’t say that it made my heart race like Usain Bolt. But, when I cracked it open and applied it, it won me over like a balcony serenade. In no time flat, my eyes transformed into cartoon hearts.

For one, it’s a pink that really pops and provides a great contrast against my skin tone. But what thoroughly impressed me was the absolutely perfect formula!

If you don’t have a medium pink in your collection yet, I highly suggest that you pick this up because it gives you great colour with zero fuss.
