e.l.f. Essentials Brushes Review

I’m sure many of you have heard of how affordable e.l.f. brushes are. e.l.f. Cosmetics is able to offer cost-efficient makeup and products because they don’t use celebrity endorsements and pass the savings in advertising to their customers.

I appreciate that this company is dedicated to offering ways to accentuate natural beauty within budget… all the while without compromising principles against animal testing. It’s understandable that the quality of these affordable products isn’t as high as that of luxury brands, but my question is: has the quality been compromised so much that the products aren’t even worth the $1 they cost?

Take a look at what I think of the e.l.f. Essentials Brushes line! Continue reading

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Socialite Review & Swatches

Even though I love checking out the e.l.f. site for sales and new colors, I’m always a little apprehensive in trying their products. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: their stuff is kind of hit and miss.

But they had a 50% off sale on their mineral eyeshadows, so I felt like I had to stock up. e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Socialite is one of the many colors I got, and it’s one of the best! Please don’t think of a certain hotel heiress when you see the name of this color. It’s the farthest thing from her! There’s depth and star power to this color. Continue reading

e.l.f. Essentials Defining Eye Brush Review (e.l.f. Professional Defining Eye Brush)

Jack of all trades, master of none – that’s exactly how I would describe the e.l.f. Essentials Defining Eye Brush (formerly e.l.f. Professional Defining Eye Brush).

It tackles multiple tasks for applying eye makeup, so it’s good if you don’t want to clutter your vanity with many brushes. However, I already own other brushes that do the tasks that this one is designed for…only better. So I hardly use this at all! Continue reading

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Mysterious Review & Swatches

Do you ever wonder how e.l.f. Cosmetics sells their stuff so cheap? I mean, even if it’s not as good quality as other brands, how can they afford it!

I’ve tried many of their brushes and filtered the good eggs from the rotten ones. And now onto their eyeshadows. I took advantage of a 50% mineral sale and got e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Mysterious – it looks like a fun purple-y, lilac-y color on the site. So how does it really fare? Continue reading

e.l.f. Essentials Total Face Brush Review (e.l.f. Professional Total Face Brush)

Ask me before I tried makeup brushes if I needed them, and I right out in your face would say, “Hellz nah.” I’m glad no one asked me that then because I’d be eating my words – shamefully. Makeup brushes really do help applying products easier with better results, I’ve discovered. Duh me!

Which is why I’m on this mission to find quality face and eye brushes that are affordable…for myself and, of course, for this blog. 🙂 And when it comes to affordable makeup products, the first name that comes into mind is e.l.f. cosmetics.

I’ve reviewed a few other brushes by this brand and came to the conclusion that the brushes are very hit and miss. My first impression of the e.l.f. Essentials Total Face Brush wasn’t a good one. Find out if I changed my mind… Continue reading

e.l.f. Studio Kabuki Face Brush Review & Pictures

Whenever I hit a makeup store, one of the first things I do is feel the display brushes (not dirty-looking ones, of course). I just love comparing the soft bristles of each brand! Sounds weird, huh? What’s even weirder is that I’m currently feeling the soft bristles of the e.l.f. Studio Kabuki Face Brush I’m about to review. (TMI?)

I just can’t get over how soft this little brush is – not only on my hand but on my skin, too. Because of it, I actually enjoy adding that extra step of applying a setting powder over my face makeup. Other than softness, find out what else you’ll appreciate from this elf kabuki brush. Continue reading

e.l.f. Essentials Blending Eye Brush Review (e.l.f. Professional Blending Eye Brush)

In another review, I said that some e.l.f. brushes are kind of hard to judge because they’re good quality…”for the price.” But the e.l.f. Essentials Blending Eye Brush is different! This tool is great quality…despite the price.

The formerly named e.l.f. Essentials Blending Eye Brush is part of my everyday makeup arsenal. Find out why I‘m so glad that I got this little gem. Continue reading
