If you read last week’s Smorgasbord Sundays post, you’re well aware that the Cheshire Cat was out to get me.
(Thank you all for your concern. A special thank you to Lizzy for going out of her way to offer me getaway/fugitive transportation…hehe!) π
Well, I ended up turning myself in. The Cheshire Cat and I had a little chit chat down at the station. At first, he was all serious, but when I offered him a slice of pizza sprinkled with catnip, he seemed to ease up.
After he realized my good intentions, he dropped the ‘case’, and told his lead investigators to back off. I’m no longer on the run from the nail-polish law! π And I’m pleased to report that I’ll continue being a lacquer addict.
I liked pizza before, but now I love it! It got me off the hook, after all.
And lately, I’ve been craving it like something fierce. Here’s the one I recently demolished.
Whenever I order pizza from Pizza Pizza, I always get different toppings on each half so I have a nice variety.
It’s been a very long time since I had pineapple on pizza (it’s not my favourite), so I decided to get pineapple, tomatoes, and ham on one half.
On the other half, I got spinach, mushrooms, and chipotle chicken with olive oil and Italian seasoning. (Usually I’ll get chilli peppers on this combination, but this time, I decided not to.)
Which pizza toppings are your favourites? When did you last eat pizza? Have you ever made your own pizza from scratch?
I like my pizza with just cheese. I sometimes get banana peppers on it though. I don’t remember the last time I had pizza. I need to get on that.

Hey Karrie!
You know what? I’ve never had a pizza with just cheese on it before. Do you get all mozzarella or a cheese blend? Mmm…banana peppers!
2 weeks ago we got frozen pizza, to eat at home. My fab toppings
from a frozen pizza is pizza pollo, it has spinach, chicken, sour creme and i think also black olives, from a restaurant bbq chicken,
black olives
I love on a pizza, chicken, 3 kinds of cheese,, black olives, green peppers, bbq sauce or sour creme spinach.
Haven’t tried chipolata chicken jet.
Havens make my pizza from scratch exactly but i bought a basic pizza and put more ingredients from myself.
Hey Icequeen81!
Interesting – I don’t think I’ve ever had sour cream on a pizza before. I wonder how that would taste.
Oh yes, I looove olives on pizza…and with feta cheese and sun-dried tomatoes!
Ohhhh my goodness, I’ve been obsessed with pizza lately too!! I’ve always loved it but it’s like now I can’t get enough. I usually just go for plain pepperoni and cheese (though feta makes a nice topping too), but for me me it’s alllll about the dipping sauce. I love the Pizza Pizza Cheddar Jalepeno sauce! YUM. The pictures of your delicious looking pizza are making me hungry (even though I just woke up, haha) π

Hey Jenn H!
Yes, the Cheddar JalapeΓ±o sauce is sooo good. I also like the Creamy Dill.
Haha, well, having pizza for breakfast is yummy, too. π But, I prefer my pizza fresh and hot, even though if I’m hungry, I’ll have a slice of cold pizza.
LOL I’ll be here if you need me. π We’ve been having TONS of pizza since Papa John’s keeps sending me discount coupons. I LOVE PIZZA. If it were just me I’d get pepperoni, sausage, bacon and jalapenos, but hubby’s always nagging me for veggies. :p We used to get ’em half and half like that (meat on my side, veggies on his; which I’m sure the employees never deciphered) until he started worrying they were going to spit on it or something. So now we usually get pepperoni, sausage and whatever veggies he feels like having. And extra cheese! OOoooooooh the cheeeeeeeese. hehehehehe

Hey Lizzy!
Haha, wait for my signal! π
YES – the cheese is really what makes the pizza delicious! That’s the main reason why I could never be a vegan. Those cheese alternatives just don’t quite hit the same spot.
It always blows my mind when I meet people who don’t like cheese (as in ANY cheese). It seems absurd…like it can’t be possible. There are soooo many different kinds, so everyone should like at least one, right? π
Mmmm I never thought of adding tomato to ham and pineapple. My pizza toppings vary depending on where I’m getting the pizza from. I used to get pizza with fresh tomato a lot, now we order from a place that has delicious meatball that is specially made for them by some place so I get meatball a lot. I also loooooove artichoke on my pizza, but not many places have that as a toppings option. Pepperoni is my usual fall back when I don’t know what to get…I also love to try specialty pizzas since they’re usually combo’s I wouldn’t think of on my own. I love pizza, but I prefer NY style thin and floppy pizza or any thin pizza…I don’t like when theres too much bread.

Hey Frosso!
I had never tried tomato with ham and pineapple, either, but I wanted to experiment. It ended up being pretty tasty. The tomato has a natural ‘sweetness’, but it can be a bit savoury, which is a nice contrast to the pineapple.
As for pepperoni, I used to ALWAYS get it on my pizza. Years ago, hehe, I used to say that it wasn’t a pizza unless it had pepperoni. But then I became a vegetarian a few years ago, so I had to experiment with more veggies (which was still tasty). Now I’m no longer a vegetarian, but I still like having pizza with only veggies sometimes.
Yeah, when there’s too much pizza dough and not enough toppings, it doesn’t seem like a “REAL” pizza to me.
As an Italian girl I eat pizza very often, and with my husband we also make it when we have some free time. My favourite topping is feta cheese, olives, little mushrooms, little artichokes, some salad and a lot of oregano ^___^

Hey Paola!
Do you make the dough from scratch, too?
I’ve tried making pizza from scratch (well, everything except for the dough). I used to buy the fresh dough from the grocery store. It was fun rolling it out and then slapping on tons of toppings. I went nuts! π
We make the dough with flour, water, brewer’s yeast, salt and olive oil! I also love changing the topping every time: yummmm!!
Paola recently posted: The Rainbow Ladies – Violet: China Glaze Flying Dragon (neon)
Wow, now that’s how you do it! I bet the pizza dough tastes waaaaaaaaaaaay better when you make it from scratch! (On a side note, I just love the way fresh dough smells. Sometimes I spend extra time rolling it out just so I can smell it more…hehe!)
Like many people, I love pizza. Its not something I eat very often, so it’s always a treat when I do eat it. Your yummy looking pictures definitely gave a craving for it!

Hey another Cristina!
I almost forgot to take photos of the pizza. Haha, when I brought it home, I was going to grab a few slices. And then I stopped myself and grabbed the camera. Haha, and then I hurried to take photos before the pizza turned cold.
omg i loooveee pizzaa!!!!
the last time i ate pizza was yesterday..
but i must confess that my favorite pizza is the pizza hut hot cheese (the one with cheese in the borders?)
my favorite toppings are mushrooms and ham..

Hey mariahemmafaria!
You know what? I haven’t had Pizza Hut pizza in a long time. When I eat it, it reminds me of when I was 9 years old because that’s where my parents used to get pizzas from often back then. π Nostalgic!
Mmmm…cheese in the crust…YUM!
My absolute favorites are broccoli + olives and green peppers + onions π

Hey Pryanka Arora!
I used to get broccoli on my pizza all the time. Then I experimented with spinach, and got hooked on the latter. Maybe I’m related to Popeye the sailor. π
Pizza must be cooked in wood burning oven to interest me. Once you have had the real thing (Italy) it’s hard to go back to New World style pizza. That being said have you had potatoes on your pizza? Pretty good…
Hey Roxann!
Yes, that’s the real deal, and the gourmet pizzas have incredible flavour. It makes the take-out commercial pizzas taste like cardboard in comparison!
No, I’ve never had potatoes on my pizza, but now I’m curious since you mentioned it. Is there a specific kind of potato that tastes best for pizza?
