Sure, it’s still winter, but I figure that if I blabber on about things for spring, maybe Mother Nature will bring on the milder weather. 😉
So, although there’s snow on the ground and it’s still chilly outside here in Canada, I’m blogging about an umbrella today.
This Fulton Map of London Umbrella is a manual, mini collapsible umbrella that opens up with a full-size cover.
Although this umbrella is the perfect size that fits in your purse easily, I like keeping it in my desk drawer in the office. It’s my “emergency” umbrella for when I didn’t bring an umbrella to work, but when I’m about to leave, there’s a downpour. D’oh!
(I brought it home to take photos of. 🙂 Now I’ll need to remember to bring it back to the office!)
What I love about this Fulton umbrella is that the underside has an accurate map of London! How cool is that? I’ve never been to London, England before, but this would come in handy if I ever visit.
I’ve never owned a black umbrella. When the weather is inclement, I love having fun or silly accessories.
Maybe in another post, I’ll show you the 2 clear large bubble umbrellas I have. One has multicoloured polka dots all over, and the other has a quirky birdcage design. If I show you those bubble umbrellas, I’ll need to ask a friend to take a photo of me holding them so you can see the full effect. Those umbrellas need to be shown off in all their glory!
Then I have a regular compact umbrella, but it’s in a bright pink, which makes me happy. I’ve looked for green umbrellas, but they seem to be hiding from me. Guess they know I’m an insatiable green fiend…

Here I removed the sleeve. Ohh la la! This is getting racy, isn’t it? An umbrella strip tease! 😉 Haha! (Who’s easily amused?)

The handle is rubberized, so you get a great grip, even if you get wet.
The outside looks like nothing special…really faded. But, like a lot of things, it’s the inside that counts, right? 😉

While you don’t have to worry about getting lost in London, England…the problem is not looking where you’re going because you’re staring at your umbrella! 😉

Loved your umbrella! I actually don’t own any umbrella despite several rainy days in the autumn, summer and spring here in Sweden. I get wet all the time though. Must get one for this summer however. Sad that they are so expensive at least the ones here. I like those one like yours than can be piled down to a some what small size and fit the bag. 🙂

Yes, investing in a quality umbrella is worth it, especially since you’ll use it a lot when the weather’s inclement. Plus it’s always fun to have a cheerful pattern to perk up your mood, even if it’s dismal outside.
I usually go for umbrellas that are medium in size – not as compact as this, but not as large as a stick umbrella. However, more recently, I have more than one umbrella, and I have different sizes so that I can use the one that best suits the weather. When it’s horrible out, my bubble umbrellas do the best job at keeping me dry.
I love this! Umbrellas are a great way to show your awesome style. This one is really unique and fun. They make great souvenirs too.

Definitely – and I’ve always wondered why umbrella companies make so many black umbrellas. Is it just because they sell so well? Whenever I see a black umbrella, it makes me sad because I think of all the more fun colours and prints that person could enjoy.
Good point about umbrellas making good souvenirs. I hadn’t thought of that. The next time I travel somewhere, I’m going to look at their umbrella section. Maybe I can find something really quirky.
I have a friend who’s OBSESSED with London. She would love this umbrella. 🙂

Oh my goodness that is awesome!!!! I’m partial to the clear domes. Without designs. lol I love watching the rain. I don’t currently have an umbrella, but then it doesn’t rain much in Texas.

I love the clear domes (bubble umbrellas)! I wanted to get one without any designs, but all of the ones I saw had a colourful, opaque trim around the edges. I’m trying to find a clear one that’s ALL clear. I’ve seen a clear one that’s tinted purple, but I’d prefer a clear dome for now…
It’s not too rainy where I live… I don’t have an umbrella of mine, but at home we have about 10 of them!!!
