Sweet, fruity candles remind me of the spring. They’re a great contrast compared to the heavier scents that are popular during the winter and fall.
A lot of people have been recommending that I try the Slatkin & Co. Pineapple Mango Candle.
I bought it last year and then tucked it away with the rest ofย my scented-candle collection until now.
I’ve been enjoying how it’s a happy scent that really fills the room.

Slatkin & Co. Pineapple Mango Candle Review
Fragrance
The Pineapple Mango Candle by Slatkin & Co. is a fresh, fruity fragrance that’s sweet and slightly sharp.
It’s easy to smell the blend of pineapple and mango. While I thought it smelled pleasant, to me, it didn’t smell exactly like sweet, ripened fruit. It was really, reallllly close, though, which is why I gave it a check mark for that claim.
The notes of lotus and vanilla are detectable, but they take a backseat to the main fragrant stars.
Overall, I think the combination really works to create a playful scent that makes you think about the spring.
Scent Throw
The Slatkin & Co. Pineapple Mango Scented Candle has a great scent throw. After maybe 5-10 minutes of lighting the wicks, my medium-sized room was filled with the scent! I’m very happy with this!
Burning
The wicks held a steady, strong flame for hours, so the wax was able to pool from one end to the other evenly and cleanly.
There wasn’t any tunneling, so I’ll be able to use up more of the wax.
Packaging
Since I bought this candle last year, it still has the old packaging. When you go into Bath & Body Works stores or on the website, you’ll notice that the design’s different. The scent should be the same.
I like the label design on my candle. It shows the pineapple lying on its side, just chillaxing without a care in the world. (For some reason, whenever I look at it, I think of it basking in the sun on a hammock.)
Value
Since Bath & Body Works products go on sale all the time, I’ve never actually bought anything from them for the full price!
If you really like this candle, they have a 2 for $20 USD sale going on now on their website, and the sales in their US and Canadians stores are fairly frequent, too, so I suggest waiting for one before making a purchase.
Seasonal Availability
The Slatkin & Co. Pineapple Mango Candle comes back every year right before spring and then sticks around until the summer or so.
If you’re interested in this candle, you still have plenty of time to get hold of it, and so far, I haven’t heard anything about the fragrance being discontinued, so it should be easy to find.

Final Verdict: 7.5/10
When you smell the Slatkin & Co. Pineapple Mango Candle, you’ll start thinking about warmer days and maybe even sipping on a tropical drink. It’s delicious-smelling! ๐
Do you like the smell of pineapples? What’s your favourite fruit to eat when the mercury rises? What drink reminds you of being on vacation?
I’ll be checking out on the weekend seeing as I saw the 2 for $20 sale. ๐ I love pineapple but not as much as mango. In my honest opinion, you haven’t tasted mangoes until you’ve had the Philippine kind. They are beyond awesome and perfect for summer! Vacation usually spells pina coladas and green mango shakes for me. ๐
PS. I have to ask, my curiosity is getting the best of me, just how many candles do you have now? Do you burn them all up before getting new ones?

Hey Carmela!
Awesome – let me know if you pick out any candles! I can shop vicariously through you. ๐
I love mangoes from the Philippines, but I also like the Mexican ones, too. Mangoes are soooo yummy!
Oh boy – I don’t even know how many candles, I have, but my collection of Slatkin & Co. ones is HUGE! Currently I’m rotating among 10 candles, but I have a bunch of back-ups and some untrieds stored away. Shhh! ๐ Hehe!
No, I don’t use them all up before buying more. Although, I haven’t bought any candles for many months. I’m trying to go through what I have now.
Pineapple and mango are two of my favorite fruits! This candle sounds like it smells delicious! (Not that I would eat it, hahaha.) Do you prefer fruitier fragrances like this for spring and summer or do you burn fruit scents all year round?
Hey Jessica!
Haha, yeah, don’t eat it! But when you burn it, it’ll make you crave the fruits. At least, that’s what happened to me. ๐
I usually like fruitier fragrances around spring and summer, yes. The rest of the year, I’m more drawn to Slatkin & Co. Frosted Cupcake (really sweet and heavy) or autumnal spicy scents like Slatkin & Co. Leaves or Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin.
What about you?
This sounds like a yummy scent. I’m definitely going to check it out. I always wait for Bath & Body Works to have sales before I stock up.

Hey lacquerloon!
It’s like a drink in candle form! Hehe, but don’t get any crazy ideas when the wax melts. ๐ Haha!
