I’m excited (and a little nervous) to bring you this review on Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie 2.0 because it has been quite a long time coming!
If you’ve done any research on nail polish online, you’ll no doubt have come across Scrangie, an awesome blogger who I’ve looked up to for years.
Before nail bloggers popped up everywhere, she was already swatching and reviewing lacquers. For this reason, I always consider her blog to be the Mother of All Nail Blogs. And I just can’t help having a Fan Girl Moment whenever she likes a photo on my Instagram…hehe!
She also has a wicked sense of self and style, which I respect and draw a lot of inspiration from. Plus she’s smart and knows how to crack a joke.
I have been very humbled each time she has supported me and my blogging journey, and she is one of the many incredible bloggers in our nail community that you really need to check out!
So when I caught wind that Scrangie would be collaborating with Rescue Beauty Lounge for a second colour (yes, I also have the first one she came out with – reviewed it back in 2011), I just knew I’d buy it.
I didn’t care if she called it “Poopie Canoopie” or “Waka-laka-ding-dong” – I’d get it because I support her, what her blog stands for, and how well she’s representing the nail community! (It’s like icing on the cake that Rescue Beauty Lounge creates top-notch nail-polish formulas!)
So…although I can’t fully do justice to her intricate nail-polish creation, here it goes! *Takes a deep breath* *Doesn’t bite fingernails* 😉

Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie 2.0 Review
Colour
To me, a Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polish is a splurge, so when I indulge, it has to be an incredible shade, something designed by Scrangie, and preferably, a combination of the two! 😉
Scrangie 2.0 by Rescue Beauty Lounge is the big check mark for the latter! I had high hopes of what this dynamic duo would produce, and I wasn’t disappointed. Rather, I was inspired!
At first, I thought Scrangie 2.0 was a shimmery bronze, but when the light hit my nails at various angles, I could see it shift to this really cool olive green with some army attitude!
The sparkles, upon closer inspection, appeared to be a bunch of different colours that both complemented and contrasted against the antique-metallic base.
Overall, I think this colour combination is very edgy and sophisticated, while being complex and interesting.
When I wore this nail polish, I couldn’t get enough of it, and when I brought the nail-polish-remover-soaked cotton ball closer to my poor manicure eventually, I thought I could hear faint cries for help from my nails. I’m a manicure murderer! 😉
Finish
Scrangie 2.0 by Rescue Beauty Lounge has a shimmery, metallic finish, and it feels smooth (not gritty at all).
Application & Formula
Wow, the formula on this was wonderful! It had a thick consistency with lots of pigmentation, and I found it easy to apply it smoothly onto my nails.
With a single medium coat, I got great coverage, but I opted to use 2, which is my habit.

Final Verdict: 10/10
As much as I loved Scrangie’s first nail polish collaboration with Rescue Beauty Lounge, I must say that I love Scrangie 2.0 waaaay more! The colour and the formula are both spot on, and they both really outdid themselves on this classy creation with some edge.
If you could partner with Rescue Beauty Lounge and create your own signature shade, what would it look like? Do you have a favourite Rescue Beauty Lounge shade? Are you also a fan of Scrangie like I am?
Edit: It’s so awesome that Rescue Beauty Lounge retweeted and favourited my blog post! Very honoured!
Definitely a very unique colour! I bought this one too but it’s still sitting in my untrieds…I need an extra set of nails to polish or something.;)
Hey Jess!
Haha, I know how you’re feeling! A lot of times, I’m wishing I had more nails to paint because there are so many polishes, but not enough nails! 😉
Love it !
Hey Cris!
Same – it’s really rich and complex. Plus the formula is top-notch, which is what I have come to expect from Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polishes!
What an unusual color. I like it!
Hey Melissa!
You can always count on Scrangie to come up with something unique! 🙂
Awsome swatches and review…as usual.
Sadly, I have no RBL polish, due to its price, I like many of them, though. My fave is a deep blackened teal with turquoise microshimmer, called Jack, from an older collection (2011 I think).
I like and appreciate really much Scrangie (she’s almost an icon!).
My signature custom RBL polish would be a metallic duochrome, shifting between blurple and ginger.
Reading your posts is always a pleasure, Mary!
Hey Floria!
Thank you! 😀 It’s always encouraging for a blogger to hear (or read)!
It’s such a pity that the high price tag prevents a lot of people from trying their awesome polishes. They have great formulas and interesting colours! It’s definitely a splurge for me!
Your signature polish sounds really cool! They should collaborate with you to bring that to the market. I’d buy it!
