It’s been a little while since I showcased a polish from the Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection that’ll be coming out in January 2014.
Here’s a quick look at Nicole by OPI Carrie’d Away, which is a blingtastic, diva-esque champagne textured polish.
It has a very celebratory effect, and I like how even though the colour is very upscale, the texture gives it some unexpected edge that ruffles some feathers.
Since this is just a sneak peek, remember to come back in January for the full in-depth review. I’ll include way more photos as well when the nail polish is available for sale.
P.S. Remember, my worldwide giveaway for the OPI Pure 18K White Gold & Silver Top Coat signed by Suzi of OPI is still open. Ends November 2 at 12:00 am Eastern!

What outfit would you wear with Nicole by OPI Carrie’d Away? Do you see this as a special-occasion nail polish or something you’d sport any time? What’s your favourite gold-toned lacquer?
LOVE this gold sparkler of a polish! Very Festive!
Hey Melissa!
When I wore this, it made me think of New Year’s Eve. We’ll see if this is what I actually end up wearing for that occasion. 🙂 It’s a little early for me to decide, but I’m sure I’ll be wearing something blingy.
Nice!
If you are going to review this one in detail, I would love to know how similar it is to Zoya Tomoko or OPI My Favorite Ornament and if there is just the tiniest justification to own all three of them 🙂

Hey Joyce!
I plan to review every single one in this collection in greater detail in January, so stay tuned! 🙂
Maybe I can post an Instagram swatch comparison of this with OPI My Favorite Ornament before then. The weather’s kinda gloomy today, so I’ll wait for when the light’s better. 🙂
I wonder about OPI’s Honey Ryder, as well. At a glance, this looks maybe a bit lighter?
Hey Stacy,
Yes, Honey Ryder is lighter and more of a pale champagne compared to Carrie’d Away. Hmm…it seems like every time I’m ready to take photos of the nail wheel, the weather outside is gloomy. I may have to just do the comparison with flash photography soon. We’ll see. Maybe Mother Nature will cooperate soon.
I’d sport it anytime!!! Out of the whole collection I really want this one. <3
Hey Katerina!
High-five to you for being comfortable with sporting it any time of year. I’m like that, too. I don’t let seasons dictate what I ‘should’ be wearing on my nails. Whatever I’m in the mood for, I wear it. Of course, sometimes the seasons DO influence me, but I would still wear a sparkly polish or a neon one whenever I want. 🙂
Lovely polish, I do wonder how this compares to ‘Honey Rider’ from the Bond Girls collection!
Hey Renee!
I will try to post a swatch comparison on Instagram of this, Honey Rider and My Favorite Ornament since readers have been requested this. 🙂 But today’s gloomy out, so I’ll wait for another day when the lighting is better.
