There seem to be very polarized opinions regarding the China Glaze Crinkled Chrome Collection that features a new spin on the textured finish.
(For a refresher, click here to see the China Glaze Crinkled Chrome Collection press release.)
As you may know, I’m a big fan of textured nail polish, so I was extremely curious to see how these would look.
Yesterday, when I got home from work, I was excited to find a box waiting for me from China Glaze. They were extremely generous and sent me the entire collection to try!
Even if they didn’t send me any, I was going to buy at least one because the texture sounded so intriguing. But, now that I have all 6, I can review the different colours.
In this Quick Look post, I’ll show you a few bottle shots and fast swatches on a nail wheel. Stay tuned for my in-depth review on these nail polishes!
Is there one in particular that you’d like to see me review in-depth first?
(By the time you read this, haha, I’ll probably have one on my nails already, but please let me know which you’d like to see showcased on the blog first, and I’ll do my best to show you.)
Also, if you have any questions about this crinkled-chrome texture that you’d like me to address in the future review, please tell me, so I can hit all the points that interest you.

What do you think of the China Glaze Crinkled Chrome Collection? Do you think you’ll be brave and give it a try? How would you reinvent your own textured nail polish?
Hmmmm… looks… eh… interesting?
To be honest, I think this is one collection I’ll be happy to skip but I won’t tell my wallet to feel relaxed yet as your swatches have been responsible for a change of heart more than once 🙂
Hey Joyce!
I’ve tried one so far, and it was different than what I was expecting. I’ll need to share my thoughts with you all on here soon!
I love textured polish Zoya Pixie Dust & OPI Liquid Sand are by far the best ones out there. Chima Glazed Crinkled Chrome collection is really horrible. It looks like you crumpled up aluminum foil on your nail. really awful collection. what were they thinking?
Hey Renee!
It’s definitely very different, which is why I really wanted to try it out. I tried one, and it was really a far departure from all the other textured polishes I’ve ever worn!
Oh wow, that is a really unique texture! Looking forward to seeing some full swatches x

Hey POW Nails!
Yes, very different! (I’ll be reviewing at least one really soon, so stay tuned.)
Love these colors. What an interesting finish. Can’t wait to try them all!
Hey Melissa!
I’ll post a review on one of them as soon as I can. It was definitely an experience wearing a Crinkled Chrome polish.
I want to put colored aluminum foil the some jelly polish on my nails. I want to see if it’ll do the same thing. I like textured polishes too. There’s something about this crinkle that’s giving me the heebee jeebees. Like someone put really old, gunky formula on their nails.

Hey Tennyoceres!
That’d be an interesting nail experiment. I’m curious to see what the result is.
At first I hated them but now I’m actually starting to like them… 😀
Hey Jennifer!
Funny how sometimes that happens after you’ve seen some swatches, right? 😉 Some looks grow on you once you get more comfortable with the novelty.
I just really don’t like that these are just metallic with bar glitter thrown in for texture. I really like the idea of crinkled chrome, but I’m not super happy with the execution. I can’t wait to see what you really thought of them!
Hey Allison!
I’ll be sure to blog about my experience wearing one of them soon! Stay tuned! 🙂
I love the Crinkled Chrome. As soon as I saw them available online I had to get the whole set. Slowly working my way through them. ^_^
Hey Lizzy!
Wow! The whole set – cool! Which one’s your favourite so far?
These look very interesting and better than I thought. I’m looking forward to seeing a full review of iron out the details at its the one that I am drawn to most xx
Hey Jacquelyng56!
You’re in luck then because I’ll be reviewing that specific shade really soon! 🙂
I’m still kinda on the fence about these. They do look better with multiple coats than with one coat alone (which looks just like some dirt got snagged in the polish and is kinda sad) but I think I’d like to see multiple coats in action on a human before I make up my mind 🙂

Hey Fedoraharp!
This human will be reviewing at least one in-depth on here really soon. Stay tuned!
Your nail wheel swatches are the best I’ve seen yet. I keep saying you need 3 coats to achieve the intended effect, don’t you agree? I didn’t like these at 1 coat, I just didn’t “get it”, I was so disappointed! I’m glad I decided to swipe more layers on. hope you have fun with these!
Hey Pawlishpig!
Haha, really? That’s funny! It’s very simple painting a nail wheel. (I tried one on my actual nails and I’ll be reviewing it soon.)
I used 2 coats on the nail wheel, but they were medium coats, so they were pretty much the equivalent of 3 thin coats. With only 1 coat, I found that it looked too thin, unless I used a thicker coat. It definitely can look too much like ‘dirt’ if you use realllllly thin coats.
