OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection Press Release
The Classic Film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” Inspires OPI’s Holiday Collection
“I believe in manicures.”
The words famously uttered by film and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn could not ring truer at OPI. That’s why the number one salon brand worldwide is unveiling Breakfast at Tiffany’s – a holiday collection that captures the elegance and effervescence of Audrey as Holly Golightly in the American cinema classic.
“Audrey didn’t just embody classic beauty. She embraced it, understood it, and made it synonymous with fashion,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador. “There’s a little bit of Audrey in all of us, and there’s no better time than the holiday season with its whirlwind of parties to channel her special brand of chic.”
The new limited-edition Breakfast at Tiffany’s shades take their inspiration from Audrey’s classic beauty and sense of playfulness. Timeless reds and burgundies share the marquee with sophisticated, chic glitter shades. The collection also evokes the film’s most memorable fashions, including Holly’s sexy pink party frock, statement-making little black dress, and elegant five-strand pearl necklace. And the collection wouldn’t be complete without a signature shade aptly named I Believe in Manicures*. All Breakfast at Tiffany’s nail lacquer shades are also available in GelColor, for a salon-perfect finish with two-week wear. I Believe in Manicures* – along with five additional shades in timeless hues of pearl, wine, burgundy, coral and dark purple – will also be available in OPI’s Infinite Shine No Light Gel Lacquer formula, part of a three-step gel lacquer system that offers long wear, shine and ease of removal.

OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection Review
My overall thoughts on the OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection? It contains wearable shades that will appeal to the masses easily. However, being a lover of green nail polish, I’m a little bummed that this holiday collection didn’t include at least one. Are you with me on this?
For most of the shades, I used two coats to achieve full opacity. (The exception: 1 coat for the glitter toppers, as they are intended for layering and not complete coverage.)
The light blue, I Believe in Manicures, is fresh and wintry, yet I can see it working equally well in the spring and summer. I love this one! It’s the kind of colour that would look flattering on most skin tones.
Glitter toppers, Champagne for Breakfast (silver holo) and Sunrise…Bedtime! (pink holo) add bling to any creme. They’re not dense enough to completely cover the nail when worn solo, so I don’t advise wearing multiple layers of this, unless you want to use more than 3 coats and don’t mind the chunky look.
Typical of most Christmas collections, OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s has more than one red nail polish:
- Got the Mean Reds is your traditional Santa red. While it’s lovely, if you collect nail polish, you probably have something very similar and can skip this.
- Meet My “Decorator” is a more interesting red because it gives me retro tomato vibes.
- Fire Escape Rendezvous is a no-go. In theory, it sounds interesting to have large irregular-shaped shards sprinkled throughout for a unique and textured appearance. However, in reality, the result is overly chunky and looks like you painted your nails and flung your hands around, causing the wet polish to dent and look ‘off.’ I’m not a fan of this.
The three darkest shades are very smooth:
- Rich & Brazilian ties for first place with I Believe in Manicures because it’s a saturated purple cloaked with mystery and with just enough glitter peeking through.
- Black Dress Not Optional is a shimmery black that shows very subtle brush strokes.
- Can’t Read Without My Lipstick is a sexy maroon that makes me think of an evil version of Santa.
The remaining three colours:
- Apartment for Two is a girly vibrant pink that screams Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!
- Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a soft white with a little sparkle for a delicate touch.
- Five-and-Ten is a super shimmery champagne that’s a celebratory shade.

liked rich and Brazilian and cant read without my lipstick
and of course the black one
Hey Icequeen81!
Great choices – strong, fierce shades!
what were they thinking when they created Fire escape rendezvous?
Hey Anouk!
Haha, They were probably thinking along the same lines of the Pineapples Has Peelings Too polish that they created a while ago. I think they had good intentions for this one, but the execution left me scratching my head. Someone on social media suggested using a top coat to help it look better, so maybe that would fix the issue.
I love that your top two are the polishes I ended up getting 😀 Rich & Brazilian is just so rich and deep and yummy.
Hey Ashley!
Hehe, we are nail-polish birds of a feather! 😉
