NARS Orgasm – it’s a popular color that has spawned an entire collection by the brand. But why is it so popular anyway? To me, it’s glowing happiness…captured in a color that instantly adds a pick-me-up to the complexion. And who wouldn’t want that?

It’s not just Orgasm. It’s NARS The Multiple Orgasm. With a name like that, this multi-purpose stick has many expectations to live up to. Does it?

NARS The Multiple Review

I love this color! When I put this on my cheeks, I don’t feel like or look like I’m wearing blush at all. My skin really does look like it’s glowing radiantly from within. I never got this effect from other blushes before, no matter how well they blended. I can always tell I’m wearing blush… and not I’m naturally blushing because I just heard a dirty joke or saw a makeup sale that made my heart race.

I attribute this to the beautiful pink color that looks good on all skin tones. Also, the golden shimmers pick up the light to give my skin a warm and healthy glow. NARS the multi-purpose stick goes on a lot sheerer than expected, but I think this assists in helping the color look natural once on the cheeks.

But because it’s so sheer though, it’s very easy to overblend. I find that a synthetic blush brush tends to blend out the color too much. I suggest you use either a natural-bristle brush or actually your fingers would work best.

Application of NARS The Multiple couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is smile big for the mirror, and apply the cream directly to the apples of your cheeks. Then lightly blend, and voila! A beautiful and healthy glowing complexion just like that. I wouldn’t even bother trying to apply the color with a brush because it won’t pick up the formula. Just use the brush to blend instead.

While NARS The Multiple in Orgasm is meant for eyes, cheeks and lips, I only wear it as a blush. On the lips, it’s too sheer and you’re basically only applying a thin layer of shimmer. It’s kind of a waste. I find the tube too big to apply directly on the lids, and the color isn’t standout enough as an eyeshadow. The times I did try the product on my lips and eyes though, it felt light and not like a heavy cream.

I got the cream stick because my skin is so very dry and powder blushes aren’t my best friend. Well, with the NARS Multiple, I do see better staying power versus my other powder blushes. By the end of my work day, I still look like I’m blushing, but I can definitely see the color starting the fade. It doesn’t stay on as long as I had hope, but it’s still better than powder for me.

    Pros
  • Beautiful color, good for all skin tones
  • Easy to use
  • Feels lightweight
  • Multipurpose
  • Looks really natural
    Cons
  • Expensive
  • May be too sheer
  • Easy to overblend & lose color

Final Verdict: 8.3/10

While this is my favorite blush right now, I can’t give it a perfect score because it’s just so darn expensive. The price tag sends my heart racing more than the color. And it’s so sheer, I feel like I have to use more of the product…meaning the value of it goes down even more.

What do you think? Do you think the pretty color and natural results are worth the price tag?
