It has been quite a while since I did nail stamping, and with a cute and festive MoYou Festive Starter Kit in my hands, it was a great incentive to practice again.
To create this Ugly Christmas Sweater Nail Art, I used the following:
- MoYou Festive Collection Plate #6
- MoYou White Knight (white stamping nail polish)
- Essie Shall We Chalet? (red nail polish)
Ugly Christmas sweaters are all the rage now. (Just the other day, I saw a slew of quirky ones at the mall.)
Although trendy, I still don’t have an ugly Christmas sweater. The closest thing I have to it is a black sweater with gold moose and other animals.
A co-worker once wore a cute one that featured Rudolph. His face spanned the entire front of the sweater, and in the place of the nose, there was a large red pom pom. Hehe, you couldn’t help but smile when you saw it! ๐
Decking your nails out in an ugly-Christmas-sweater pattern is loads of fun, and the bonus is that even if you don’t live in Canada where it gets colder in the winter, you can still decorate your nails with a sweater design without breaking out into a sweat!

Are you getting into the holiday mood with festive nail art? If you don’t celebrate Christmas, what plans do you have instead? Do you have an ugly Christmas sweater?
These aren’t ugly at all. They’re too cute!! I love them and they’re so festive! Thanks for sharing them with us!
Hey Melissa!
Aww, thanks for saying that! Hehe! ๐
More festive nail art is coming soon. Stay tuned! (I did more stamping.)
I think these are gorgeous. They are definitely festive ๐
Hey Nikki!
Thanks for checking them out and taking the time to leave me an encouraging comment! ๐ I’ll be posting more fun and festive nail looks very soon. (I’ve recently rekindled my love for stamping.)
I don’t have an ugly Christmas sweater either. The closet one I have is a green one with snowflakes on it. This is a beautiful red polish and the stamping is gorgeous. I love the sweater design. I don’t know too much about stamping and never tried to research it but it looks fun and interesting to do. Your photos are excellent and amazing.
Hey George!
A green sweater with snowflakes? That sounds pretty unique because many designs with snowflakes feature blue, white, and silver. (Hehe, you know me – green is right up my alley!)
The red polish applies so smoothly, and I plan to review it separately on here very soon, so watch for it! ๐
Hehe, once you begin stamping, you’ll never look at a solid manicure the same way again. At least, that’s what it was like for me. I would see a creme manicure and wonder, “What would it look like with a stamped design on top?” I got into it heavily when Konad was one of the first brands to offer image plates. Now, so many companies are coming out with creative designs, so there’s something for everyone!
This is a nice mani! I’ve done a few Christmas manis so far. I want to do a few more but there’s so little time lol. Although the 12 days of Christmas are technically after Christmas lol.

Hey Sasha!
Yeah, tell me about it! December is speeding by fast like a ferret scurrying to cross during a red light! ๐
I also have a lot of ideas for Christmas manicures, but there aren’t enough hours in the day to do them all. Either that, or I don’t have enough nails. Hehehe!
