Nail Art: Dotticure Using the 3 Nail Polishes in the OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection

Dotticure OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection Nails Nail ArtThere are 3 limited-edition shades from the OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection, and when I took one glance at them, I knew I’d have to wear them together in some playful nail art.

Since I was strapped for time, I decided to whip out my trusty double-ended dotting tool to create this quick and simple look.

Using a dotting tool is as fun as popping bubble wrap, and since I hadn’t created a dotticure in a long time, it was fine time!

In this post, I’ll show you more photos of my Dotticure Using the OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection.

What kind of nail looks would you create using the 3 shades (OPI This Gown Needs a Crown, OPI I’m Feeling Sashy, and OPI Miss You-niverse)?

      Hey Melissa!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. I’ve secretly been itching to do a simple dotticure for a long time. Making each dot is a lot of fun. Wish I had more nails to put dots on – hahahaha! 😉

    Cute mani! 🙂

Ever since I’ve seen the press release of this OPI collection I’ve been wondering how similar I’m Feeling Sashy is to Parlez-Vous OPI?

      Hey Liz!

Thanks! 🙂 I love doing simple designs, and when I saw the 3 new OPI Miss Universe shades, it was hard to resist using them together, so I gave into the temptation!

I recently posted a comparison-swatch photo of the two side-by-side on Instagram here: http://instagram.com/p/fIxAp_O0e4/

While both are purple, I was surprised to see that Parlez-vous OPI? was more purple, whereas I’m Feeling Sashy leans more pink. The photo I took with my smartphone exaggerates the difference, but it’s noticeable enough in person that it’s obvious they’re not dupes. They’re close, though! Hope that helps!

Yes, yes yes! I am feeling this shade could be a good one for those of us who missed out on Parlez Vous OPI. Comparison would be great if you can. The Miss You-niverse looks like ChG Queen B, ,but I would pick it up over the ChG because I prefer OPI brush and formula. The silver one looks very unique. This looks like a must have for me.

      Hey Lorraine!

You’re right in that it’s close to OPI Parlez-vous OPI? from the La Collection de France from 2008, but I’m Feeling Sashy leans more pink. Both are purples, but when you see them side-by-side, I’m Feeling Sashy has a touch more pink. You can check out my comparison swatch that I posted on Instagram here: http://instagram.com/p/fIxAp_O0e4/

      Hey Lizzy!

Thanks so much! Glad you like it – I didn’t want to remove this manicure because it made me smile so much. Plus making each dot is really fun. I didn’t want to stop!

Oh my goodness! Seeing your nail art and swatches, I am definitely in love with This Gown Needs A Crown! I don’t have such a silver yet, and this could be just the one I’m looking for! Absolutely stunning! I was wondering how it’d look under ‘normal lighting’, thank you so much for answering that question. Ahh too sparkly not to have it! ;D

      Hey Lacqueerisa!

By normal lighting, do you mean artificial lighting inside? This Gown Needs a Crown still sparkles plenty! 🙂 I just hardly ever take photos under the artificial lighting in my home because it creates a yellow, unnatural cast. Natural light is my favourite to photograph in!
