Haul of Shame: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Haul Swatch And LearnOkay, remember how not long ago, I swatched and reviewed two Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters (Peach Parfait and Lollipop)?

I was so sure that since having those plus Red Velvet, I was all set.

Boy was I wrong! 😛

Rexall had a sale on them for just $4.99 CAD each, and while I’ve been really good at cutting back on my beauty purchases, this deal sucked me in like a black hole. Resistance is futile! 😉

Since it’s been a long time since I published a Haul of Shame post, I decided to do one today.

Okay, so this isn’t a review post like I normally post. Hope you don’t mind that Haul of Shame is all about just showing you the goods. 😉

However, I have thoroughly reviewed two of them previously, in case you’re curious about how good they are:

Don’t they look so pretty lined up in a row?

I’m most excited to try Gumdrop because I don’t have any lip colour that’s this shade of purple. Wonder if it’ll make me look zombie-esque…*Braaaiinnnsss*

Did you stop at just one Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter? Or do you have a small collection of them, too?

I currently own Peach Parfait and Sugar Frosting and I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE them! If I find them on sale for the right $, I would definitely pick up a few (read-5 or 6) more! For me, I love the sheerness yet colorfulness they provide, but it’s even more than that. I love the idea of lipstick- the tube/application of it is somehow sophisticated and womanly to me, like something out of a old Hollywood movie. I get that romantic feeling of a lipstick with these, but without the actually lipsticky-ness that I’m not a huge fan of (in actuality, I’m probably applying these while in my car, with my little boys all in the backseats yelling at each other/throwing food and toys….not as glamorous a thought 😉 Great haul Mary!

      Hey Maribeth!

Same here – lipstick reminds me of sophistication and womanliness. When I was little, my mom used to wear lipstick all the time, and I thought it was so classy.

It’s really hard to stop at just one Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter, isn’t it? 😉

I had four at one point but I gave a friend candy apple and peach parfait. But I LOVE the ones I still have! Peach truffle is mlbb and tutti fruitti is really cute for spring. I have a coupon for $2 off revlon lip products which I’ve been hoarding in my purse… maybe it’s time to break them out haha. I’ll wait until your swatches! 🙂 I’ve had my eye on lollipop, red velvet, and strawberry shortcake. Gumdrop looks interesting as welllll

      Hey lulu!

I almost got Candy Apple. Was it too bright red on you? That was another colour I almost got, but put back at the last second.

YES, definitely get Lollipop – it’s gorgeous! Red Velvet is nice, but I think Lollipop brightens up the face more.

I have Tutti-Frutti, Lollipop and Sweet Tart. They are awesome for a touch of color for spring and summer!

      Hey Karen F!

Definitely – when I started wearing Lollipop, I got so many compliments (also because I rarely wear a bold lip colour). Love that one.

I’ve got Pink Truffle and Candy Apple which I love! Tried Red Velvet but it was too dark on me!
You should try Candy Apple (I can be an enabler too! )

      Hey Emma!

They’re great, aren’t they? My favourite is Lollipop because the pink is bright and really ‘wakes up’ the complexion. Plus the glossiness of the Lip Butters is wonderful and comfortable to wear. 🙂

I have had my mind on these for the longest time, but I don’t know which one to get! I really want a nude pink, and I need help picking a color. Can I have some help?

      Hey Olivia!

The pinks mentioned in this post aren’t really on the nude side, although maybe with a light hand, Strawberry Shortcake might look like a pinky nude (depending on the pigmentation of your natural lips).

Peach Parfait is more of a flattering nude, but there’s no pink to it.

Combining those two might give you the look you’re going for.
