Harbourfront in Toronto for Victoria Day

OPI The I's Have It Swatch Harbourfront

Yesterday was Victoria Day here in Canada, and it was gorgeous with the sun beating down and the mercury rising!

If you follow me on social media, you already saw the above photo that I shared from when I went to Harbourfront in Toronto.

Enjoying the dancing waves, the sunshine making the water sparkle, and feeling the gentle breeze kiss your face are all experiences that everyone must have at some point. It is simply magical!

I only snapped a few photos during the day because I wanted to soak in everything, rather than be stuck behind my smartphone. Live in the moment!

Since I don’t have a nail-polish review for today (it’s coming soon), I decided to instead share some photos from Harbourfront to spread that summertime feeling! 🙂

On my nails: OPI The I’s Have It (from the Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection).

My first thought when I saw this heading in my direction was: The Goonies!

While it was huge, it was still a smaller, more down-to-earth version of the pirate ship at the end of the movie. (I believe that I saw it earlier that day with the sails up, but I didn’t snap a photo of it.)

By the way, can we just acknowledge how picturesque the sky is? It’s so blue, it looks Photoshopped, but it’s not. Mother Nature is the best (and original) artist! 😉

Sailboat Harbourfront Toronto

Gazing at the boats in the dock and seeing people sunbathing make you want a boat of your own. (Imagine if you could ride the waves whenever you wanted? Dreamy!)

If motorboats and sailboats aren’t your thing, they also have kayaks and canoes at Harbourfront that you could rent.

I’ve been canoeing a few times and loved it. Not only is it great exercise for your arms, but it’s so peaceful on the water that it becomes almost like meditation.

Next time I come to Harbourfront (which will be soon), I’m going to rent one of these. It was already hard to pass it up this time!

Victoria Day 2016 Harbourfront

The large, inflatable structure caught my attention because of its architecture that reminds me of an optical illusion. Had to share it with you!

Lots of people were inside to cool off, as it provided nice shade.

Also, I managed to capture the CN Tower peaking out on the left, as well as a chimney that shared a message to everyone loud and clear!

Hehe, I only noticed after I photographed the chimney that it says, “More Than Enough”. What a great reminder for us all, especially in a society where we are made to think that we’re not good enough. Thanks, chimney! You’re not full of smoke, after all! Hehehe!

See? Positive messages are everywhere, if we just look. 🙂

Hope my fellow Canadians also had an amazing Victoria Day!

I’ll be back with an in-depth review on a nail polish soon, so stay tuned!

      Hey Melissa!

Yes, I had an amazing time outdoors and enjoying the sunshine (with a bottle of cold water, sunscreen, and a large-brimmed hat, of course)!

The weather was dreamy – so hot, not humid, and just enough of a breeze to keep you cool. It was a wonderful taste of summer!
