FedoraHarp Puncherella is a sentimental nail polish because it was created by one of my readers.
Leah aka FedoraHarp has an Etsy store that ships worldwide from Israel, and her indie nail polishes are 5-free (they don’t contain DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldahyde resin, or camphor) and they aren’t tested on animals.
(I reviewed another FedoraHarp lacquer on here some time ago – Raindrops on Roses. You may be interested in checking it out!)
FedoraHarp Puncherella is part of the Welcome to Tomorrowland Collection, which consists of five nail polishes.
You may remember me sharing two photos of Puncherella on my Instagram here and here.
Puncherella is a whimsical medium lilac with glitter that twinkles like fairy wings in the sunshine! (At least, that’s what I imagine they’d look like.)
After wearing it twice already as a full manicure, I’ve collected my thoughts and am ready to share them with you!

FedoraHarp Puncherella Review
Colour
FedoraHarp Puncherella is a medium lilac. Sprinkled throughout is glitter that I could see reflecting gold, blue, and purple for a look that is like a fairytale for your fingertips.
Finish
There’s an overall look of softness, which I feel is partly because Puncherella by FedoraHarp has a creme-jelly finish and also because the glitter complements the base purple rather than trying to steal the show.
In the sunshine, this polish twinkles, but even when I admired it in natural light, it still had a magical feel to it, and you could see the sparkling glitter.
Application & Formula
To reach full opacity, I needed to use three coats, however, I applied an extra one to see if it would alter the colour (i.e. intensify it). Turns out that three coats is good enough to even everything out.
With the first coat, the polish was very streaky, but when I applied each subsequent coat, the coverage got substantially more opaque.
This is the type of polish that looks just as pretty with or without a top coat. (I didn’t see much of a transformation after I applied a glossy top coat.) However, to get the best wear out of this polish, you should still wear your usual base and top coats.
Puncherella by FedoraHarp has a formula that tends to pull at the tips and look like you have premature tip wear. To easily prevent this, all you have to do is make sure that each coat is dry before you go in with another and build it up.
If you’re too hasty and apply multiple coats that are too wet, it will only pull the polish. Patience is the key with this one, and it’s worth it!
Also, I recommend that along with each coat, you wrap your tips (i.e. paint the free edge of your nails). I always wrap the free edge of my nails, and it extends my manicure mileage!
5-Free Nail Polish
For nailphiles who are making conscious choices to use polishes that are free of certain chemicals, you’ll be pleased to know that Puncherella by FedoraHarp doesn’t contain DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldahyde resin, or camphor.
Animal-Friendliness
For animal lovers who support cruelty-free brands, you’ll be happy to learn that FedoraHarp lacquer doesn’t test on animals.

Final Verdict: 7/10
If you’re looking for an artisan nail polish that’s hand-mixed and not a mainstream brand, you may be interested in checking out FedoraHarp! She offers a great variety of colours and finishes in her Etsy store, so there’s something for everyone.
Puncherella by FedoraHarp is a very pretty nail polish, and whether you see it in the sunlight or not, its charm still shines through!
Are you a fan of creme-jelly finishes? Would you wear this polish solo or incorporated into nail art? What are some of your favourite Etsy stores?
Thank you for your review! <3 Your photos of my nail polish are absolutely gorgeous!!! Also, I love this line: "Puncherella is a whimsical medium lilac with glitter that twinkles like fairy wings in the sunshine". You always manage to say something super descriptive that I would never have thought of 😀

Hey FedoraHarp!
It’s absolutely my pleasure! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to wear (and share) this pretty polish. Hehe, and you just made my day with your comment about my writing! 😀
Beautiful polish!! And your swatches make it even harder to resist buying this right now
(but the pathetic state of my bank account does…. 🙁

Hey Joyce!
Haha, I feel guilty and happy simultaneously! So, sorry, and thank you! 😉
Hopefully Leah (FedoraHarp) won’t discontinue this polish soon, so when your bank account is feeling more comfortable, you can revisit this shopping decision. In any case, thank you for leaving me a sweet comment!
Such pretty purple. I like the little shimmer that it has to it. I’m just not sure about the whole 3-4 coats for it to be opaque, I think I’m going to have to pass on this one.
Hey Melissa!
It definitely requires more coats for it to look its best. But once you get it on, it’s so beautiful!
Lovely purple and your swatches are beautiful! I always love how you show the polishes in various lighting.

Hey Sasha!
Thank you for encouraging me! 🙂 Every blogger needs that, and it makes me really happy to hear that you enjoy how I post photos in different lighting conditions. I think it really shows off the personality of the polish. It’s a lot of work to take all the photographs (most don’t make the cut and are weeded out), but the ones that DO get posted hopefully will help a fellow nailphile decide if it’s a shade they want to add to their collection. 🙂
Hey Mary!,
You’re very welcome and I’m glad I could give a little bit of encouragement! It really does make a difference because some polishes when you look at it you think…it’s just okay but then if you can get the polish in some beautiful sun that really can make it or break it. Oh I know how difficult it can be to take so many photographs only to choose a few LOL.

I checked out your blog, and wow, your nails are very long and strong! I saw one post about the China Glaze Electric Nights Collection shades, and you can see the colours so well on your nails. 🙂
I just had a fan girl moment! LOL. Thank you so much for checking out my blog (I’m trying too spruce it up but don’t know much about templates and what not). I used to think that I could never get my nails as long as I have now and I’m so proud (I know kind of corny lol). 😀
