I’m so ashamed. Sometimes my lips get so chapped that I’m embarrassed to face someone when I talk to them. My lips are more neglected by me than a middle child by a parent! Dear Lips, I’m making a promise to be good to you from now on, so please don’t flake on me anymore.
I came across Everyday Naturals Deep Kissing Buff & Shine Lip Polish when I was shopping for their eyeshadows. (I need to stop browsing entire websites when I’m shopping for something specific.) It was between this and the Sumptuous Lip Polish, but when I saw the word “chocolate,” I zombie-pressed the Add To Bag button.

Everyday Minerals Deep Kissing Buff and Shine Review
Scent
Hm. Not the chocolate fragrance I was hoping for, but you can definitely smell the cocoa scent. When you open the jar, your nose gets confronted with a strong orange aroma lightly infused with cocoa. I personally don’t love the chocolate/orange combo, but I don’t hate it. It’s refreshing and deep at the same time.
Application & Use
As expected, it’s a little scratchy. But you’re basically rubbing sugar on your lips, so… duh!
It’s really easy to use this Everyday Minerals Buff & Shine Lip Polish. Simply scoop a teeny, tiny bit with your finger and start massaging it into your lips. Voila. I usually massage it for a minute or so, leave it on for another few minutes for the moisture to sink in, then rinse off. Use this 2-3 times a week to polish your lips!
Taste
Don’t eat it. Hahaha. But, of course, there’s a chance that you’ll get it on your tongue. Good to know that it just tastes like orange sugar.
Ingredients
And good to know it’s made with natural ingredients. In fact, many of the ingredients are even organic. This Everyday Minerals lip polish contains Cocoa Absolute and Sweet Orange to make it a smellin’ good time. The brand also added Jojoba Oil for a polished shine.
Results
Everyday Minerals Shine & Buff Lip Polish also contains moisturizing Brazilian butters, which leave a heavy feeling on the lips. That’s why I suggest rinsing it off after a few minutes. After using this polish, my lips are instantly softer and the chappiness is gone for the most part.
However, if your lips are drier than a crocodile’s skin, this might not exfoliate away all the dead skin. Just make sure to follow up with a balm for more hydration.
Packaging
Is there anything cuter than this? The Everyday Minerals Deep Kissing Lip Polish came with its own reusable bag! I think I’m going to use it as my own little coin purse or something. And there’s a paper note attached that looks like it’s done by a 4th grader with a stamp in hand – but I like that because it contributed to the natural and organic look.
Value
Well, $7 isn’t too bad for the little pot since you don’t use a lot. If you’re handy with a mixing bowl and a wooden spoon, you could probably make your own. Everyday Minerals Kissing Buff & Shine Lip Polish is really for those who are lazy (*raises hand*) or those who like and can’t recreate the scent.

Final Verdict: 7.9/10
It’s a handy little product that I’m going to keep in my lip care arsenal. But there are definitely cheaper alternatives out there, so it really all comes down to whether or not you love the scent, I think.
