Essie New York Fashion Week Recaps: Days 1, 2 & 3

Essie New York Fashion Week 2015 Rebecca MinkoffNail polish alone is enough to make my pulse race, but what really oils up my engine is when I see it in action on the runway.

Fashion is a creative force that I love to follow. No, I don’t jump on every trend, but I like to know what’s going on in the industry because it sometimes echoes the status quo, while other times, it challenges it defiantly!

Beauty and fashion go hand-in-hand, and I’m inspired by the creativity that goes into each look. Although commercial beauty is pleasing to the eye, it’s the editorial, quirky, and offbeat designs that I find myself drawn to the most. Fashion is art.

So when I checked my e-mail this week and found a bunch of Essie New York Fashion Week Recaps, I had to share them with you, my fellow nailphiles.

You get to see Essie nail polish in action on the runway – it doesn’t get more exciting than that! (Well, the only thing I could see trumping that would be if I ever meet Essie Weingarten!) 😉

In this post, I share with you information and photos from Days 1, 2, and 3 of Essie nail polish at New York Fashion Week 2015!

The Costello Tagliapietra duo used Essie Aruba Blue to accompany their designs.

Essie Canada’s Lead Nail Artist, Rita Remark, created a unique geometric nail design for Wes Gordon using Essie Smoking’ Hot, Essie Sexy Divide, and the award-winning Essie Matte About You.

Manicurist Michelle Saunders crafted an edgy chevron nail design for Rebecca Minkoff, Essie’s new Global Colour Designer, who presented her 1970s rock’n chic collection at Lincoln Center. She used Essie Mademoiselle, Essie Berry Naughty, and Essie Midnight Cami.

Alexander Wang unveiled his gothic heavy metal collection and complemented it with Essie Jazz, a shade the designer described as “chic as a ghost”.

Altuzarra showcased his elegant fall runway and accented it with the feminine Essie Adore-a-ball.

Out of all the nail and fashion looks, which are your favourites? (The nails and clothes from the Rebecca Minkoff show are my favourites!)

thanks for the roundup. these are some simple but eyecatching designs and color combos. Love Aruba Blue and the Smokin’ Hot/Sexy Divide/Matte at Wes Gordon show. totally agree about fashion as art and it is great to see the evolution of what is happening on the runways and its trickle down to the ready to wear.
