Okay, so this Milani Giveaway was delayed a bit, but it was worth the wait, right?

Thanks to Milani’s amazing PR team, I was able to hand-pick every single product for this giveaway! I chose 6 killer nail polishes, 1 powder eye shadow, 1 eye-shadow pencil, 1 lip gloss, and 1 liquid eye liner. Hope that you’ll like the variety of beauty products!

Milani-Giveaway-Swatch-And-Learn

All of those nail polishes are ones that I’ve never tried, but have been drooling over after seeing beautiful swatches of them online. I tried to choose a variety of bright and dark shades to keep it more interesting.

And here’s the best part…There will be TWO winners!

One will be from Canada or the United States. The second winner will be from anywhere else in the world. Yes, this giveaway is open to ALL of my amazing readers! (Each winner will receive all the products shown in the above photo.) 🙂

Please carefully read the rest of this blog post in order to find out how to enter because it’s a little different this time around. Also, I’ve included larger photos of each product to show you exactly what you can win!

P.S. And, yes, I’m running this Milani giveaway at the same time as my other surprise giveaway announced in the blog post about how I had dinner with Suzi Weiss-Fischmann of OPI! More chances for you to win!

Hi there! I’m in Canada! One product I very recently tried was an Orly 180/100 nail file! I found it a great improvement over my drugstore file. It works well to use both sides in combination 🙂 I’m also about to do my first manicure with an Essie styenomics collection colour! Thanks for the giveaway!

      Hey Kat!

Cool – I haven’t heard anything about Orly’s nail files, so I’m glad you mentioned it. I’ve just been using my glass nail file for years. It took a while to get used to it, though, because it’s a bit like nails on a chalkboard…haha!

Thanks for being the very first person to enter the giveaway! 😀 You’re fast!

I just picked up Bath & Body Works’ Dreamy Vanilla Woods triple moisture body cream and I love it! It smells so good. Curiously enough, to me it smells an awful lot like the Serendipitous perfume, for a fraction of the price. The texture and consistency is great, too. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy at all.

I’m not a make-up wearer, the only make-up I’m into is nail polish. I recently (finally) tried out my China Glaze glow in the dark topcoat! I painted a couple coats over my existing (green) mani, then did black splatters over it, so even when it’s glowing it’s splattered. =) If I hold my hands up to the light for a bit there’s a decent glow, but I think I need to sit under the light a bit longer to get a more long-lasting effect.

All the polish colors you chose for this giveaway are gorgeous. =9

      Hey Heather!

That’s such a cool idea you had to do glow-in-the-dark plus a splattered effect! Take photos – I bet it looks really neat!

YAY – I’m glad that you liked my polish choices! Haha, I’m going to be envious of the people who win because I don’t own anything from this giveaway. But all the stuff looks great in the reviews I’ve read online.

I tried to take a picture but my phone puts off too much light for the glow-in-the-dark to be visible! I need to remember to try my proper camera…I should do it now, while I’m thinking about it. =)

I don’t try many new beauty products. I tend to stick with what I know do to allergies. However, I did give Cover Girl’s Lash Blast Mascara a try last week and really liked it. I also used China Glaze “Unpredictable” from the Bohemian Collection and LOVE it. The color is beyond gorgeous.

Aww…sorry to hear about your allergies. That must make it more challenging to find beauty products. I also have an allergy to one cosmetic ingredient, so I have to always read the label when it comes to products I put on my face. Otherwise, my skin (and eyes) will get red and puffy.

A few things I have tried recently:

I obtained some new Pure Fiji body products (sugar scrub, body lotion and body oil)-they are amazing and smell delicious!
I also finally got my hands on some China Glaze NP- hauled 11 at once. I’m from New Zealand and it’s pretty hard to find around here, especially at a decent price 🙂

The newest thing I’ve tried was actually sent to me by a Facebook friend and that would be Mary Kay’s mineral powder. I really like the ease of which it goes on and it covered nearly all the imperfections in my skin tone.

    Good luck everyone!

I’ve heard so many great things about that concealer…and how it covers very well with just a little product! But going to a Wal-Mart is really out of the way for me, so I hardly ever shop there. I wish that Hard Candy products were sold elsewhere.

Im in the United States. One product that I have tried recently is a Jordana top coat, sorry to say but I’m not a fan of it, this product tends to make my polish bubble a ton. The first couple times it wa fine but I continued to use it and got disappointed.:(

I recently used Orly Dazzle for french tips. It's a gorgeous super shiny silver and probably my favourite silver right now. Application is really great and it only needs 1 or 2 coats for super bling action.

I'm in New Zealand by the way!

Yeah, I absolutely love the Urban Decay primers. I can use all of them except for Sin and the original one, just because of an ingredient those contain that irritates my eyes. The others don’t seem to bother my eye, though, and they keep my shadow lasting all day and night. Love them!

Picked up quite a few things at a beauty expo that was held in Johannesburg, South Africa in September. Still have a few untrieds but something that I picked up besides a crap load of nail polishes, was a soy body massage candle by Indulgence Spa Products. I love it! It works great for massages as you don’t need to use tons. It can also be used as a moisturiser! Plus my room permanently smells like vanilla/lavender lately, which is awesome!

I just recently used Sinful Colors nail polish Lets Meet and I was a little disappointed how sheer it was. I applied two coats of it and even then in real light its just…too sheer and too sparkly. I’m one of those people who doesn’t enjoy applying several coats of nail polish. I’m impatient when it comes to them drying XD. But now I know to find a more opaque yellow brand. Any suggestions?

Hi Mary! I’m from Canada (like you!), Québec (not like you 🙁 ) and here, we don’t have much Milani products. 🙁 They are only sold at Maxi (which is like the sister company of Loblaws) and they don’t even have the Liquif’Eye eyeliner!!! 🙁 Actually, they don’t have any of the new collection that I see all over the blogosphere. T-T

The latest beauty product that I’ve tried is the Maybelline felt-tip eyeliner. I think it’s called something Stiletto… I had to pratice quite some time before getting the hang on it and even then, I often mess up my “cat-eye”. Lol! I’m a little bit disappointed because I wish the liner would be blacker. It fades a bit during the day and turns kinda grey-ish/brown-ish.

Anyway, thank you so much for this giveaway and good luck to all your readers! 😀

Hey Mary! I’m in Canada, we’re basically neighbours I think 😉
A couple of weeks ago my youngest sister went shopping and went to Bath and Body Works (without me, shame on her!) and she got the new Cashmere Glow spray and lotion. She let me try the lotion (I LOVE their lotions) and O.M.G. This is a fragrance everyone should definitely try! I couldn’t stop smelling my hands 😉 She said she would sell me a bottle of her spray, but I have enough in my stash that I told her no thanks (maybe I’ll get a bottle for Christmas!) but I would definitely buy it for myself (over and over and over again) 😀
    Thanks for doing this giveaway!
P.S. – where can you buy Miliani polishes? I have been wanting to try their white, but because I’m in the “stix” I don’t have access to it, and my closest Sally’s is about an hour away.

I bought it to use on my sons hair as he got a horrific haircut from a ditz at the salon I was going to. To make a long story short, we are spiking his hair in a Moha wk atm and blasting it with the colors to make it look better. They work really well, I was surprised. I even went back and bought all the other colors they had.

Humm other than nail polish, I haven’t tried out any new mu items. I like to stick to what I love, which is beige/taupe-y es shadows, grey/black/brown eyeliner and mascara. SOO I will tell you about my most-est favourite-est (hee hee) mu product in the whole world: MAC Fluid Line in Black Track… Have you tried it yet? I love how you have complete control of the product. I use it on my upper lashes, and water lines (upper and lower)… but not all at once. I never used to wear black liner bc I found it to be very harsh looking next to my pale skin/eyes… but with BT I can make the liner SUPER thin, and its perfect! I highly recommend it to everyone. I am not one of those girls who are perfect at applying MU, BUT I have gotten compliments on my liner when I first started using BT.
Thanks again for letting me enter your give-aways!

A product I’ve recently tried is the Illamasqua Cream Blush (a shade called Betray). I had tried cream blushes years ago and I found them impractical, sticky, greasy, and in general hard to use. But this is completely different: it blends easily, gives a very natural glow, and looks better on my dry skin than traditional powder blushes. Now I’m thinking of getting one or two more for Christmas…

    Hi, Mary!
Sweden follows you as well. 🙂 Or at least, I know two girls here who do.
My most recent new item –

H&M nail polish remover in a pump bottle. When Tracy and I went shopping in Uppsala, we picked up the pump bottles. Wow – what a disappointing remover.
The bottles work great. Put the cotton ball or pad on top and pump a few times and the remover is ready to go – but this formula is quite weak and couldn’t do a cleaning job on 2 layers of polish plus a topcoat. So, we both ended up dumping it and filling the fabulous pump bottle with better brands.

Everything else I’ve been doing lately is all old stuff. 🙁
I need to go shopping. 🙂

Thanks for two-in-a-row giveaways that are good internationally, and congratulations on the increased readership here!

    Hi Mary,
I’m from the US. I love all the iteams that you picked out, great job. :~) I have 2 new iteams that I like. The 1st is Neutrogena body lotion. I only use this for my face. It’s light, smell is not bad and it’s not too strong. I use less than a dime size and it covers my face really well and it absorbs fast and is light and not greasy feeling. The 2nd is Nivea Soft Face/body/hands. I only use this for my hands. It’s a littler heavier than the Neutrogena. I use it right before going to bed and when I get up in the morning my hands are nice and soft. My cuticles are nice and soft as well. It absorbs a little slower than the Neutrogena but works great. Great Job as always. Have a great week. :~)

I got pedi creme which is kind of neat, kind of greasy though, so i completely understand why they say to use it before bed.. i was sliding around my tile floors :-\ the polish i got was a brown-y purple and then i got the cantaloupe colored one. the formula wasn’t too bad.. but the brush on the darker one was kind of… messy? like it looked like it had a bad hair day.

I’ve been looking for a make-up remover lately that wouldn’t bother my sensitive skin or be so oily I’d need cleanser to cleanse the make-up remover. I’ve been trying Paula’s Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover (www.cosmeticscop.com) and I have to say that it’s the best I’ve ever used. No oily residue and nothing to set off my sensitivities.

I’ve also been using Quo Total Perfection Face Primer under my tinted moisturizer and I don’t think I’ve ever had such a smooth look before. Love it!

I don’t really try new beauty products that often, I’m pretty faithful to what works. But I did have a mascara gifted to me that I recently tried, Maybelline Falsies Volume Express. Now, since I’ve used Maybelline Great Lash for years and years, I had a bit of difficulty with the Falsies brush. But it would have been an okay adjustment if the formula was not waterproof. YUCK. Hate the effort it takes to remove that, so I have relegated it to ‘occasions where I might cry’ and have gone back to Great Lash. 🙂

    I’m in Canada, whoo-hoo!

Hi! The most recent purchase for me was Biotherm’s fragrance “L’eau de paradis”. It’s refreshing and the colour of the liquid is pink! I know, I know, not a good reason to get it, but it’s pretty and the scent is really nice and on the sweeter side. Plus, I got it at a warehouse sale so it was cheap too!

I like that my lashes don’t end up so clumped together and that they do feel softer than other mascaras, but I was hoping for….more? I don’t hate it by any means and I don’t regret buying it, I’m just not in love with it as most people!

Yay! This is such an awesome giveaway. I think it’s so amazing that you have sponsors who will help with this, and that you take your time to pick out great stuff for us to win! 🙂
When I was in southern France this summer, my (girl) friend had a crazy glitter-obsession. She ended up pullong me along for the ride and we had the weirdest “Edward-jokes” – none of us are “twihards” (I believe that’s the name for Twilight fans? :p), but we had a shitload of fun with it.
I ended up buying a glittering dry oil, I think the brand is called Monoï, otherwise it’s lovea. It’s not quite clear to me – yay for French, haha.
It contains no parabens and I love putting a bit of it on my shoulder-chest-neck area if I’m going out. I think it’s a nice little detail since I don’t usually wear heavy make-up 🙂

Ps. Denmark all the way, baby! 8D

I recently tried smashbox camera ready BB cream. This “beauty balm” cream is a 5-in-1 product that is similar to a tinted moisturizer. I am not a big fan of foundation so I was drawn to this product for sheer coverage. This product is also has a SPF of 35 which helps to protect my skin. I have oily skin and although this product claims to help with controlling oily skin, I found that I needed to powder my skin within a couple of hours of using this product. I have noticed some other BB’s on the market and wonder how they compare with Smashbox? I am now using this product on a daily basis along with a bronzed to help give my face a warm and polished look. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great giveaway Mary! Great choice in products too! I don’t know if you would consider this a beauty product, but I did try using acrylic paint for nail art and I found out it’s so much easier than using nail polish because it’s more opaque. Also, I did try the One ‘n’ Only Argan Oil you reviewed earlier this week. It works amazing. Where do you buy Milani products in Canada. By the way, I live in Canada too.

I recently tried Rouge in Love lipstick by Lancome! I was pleasantly suprised that this long wear lip pigment didn’t dry out my lips like so many other long wear lip colors do! The pigment lasts for up to 6 hours, and while it goes on shiny becomes matte rather quickly. The matte finish is easily rejuvinated by lip blam.

One product I just tried was Sinful Colors Quick Dry. I wanted something easier to use than Seche Vite. I put it over two coats of Wet n Wild 2% Milk and two coats of Bonita Bubble Gum Sparks ( a jelly sandwich! ). The texture of Quick Dry is actually more like an oil than a gloss. I found the thin, rigid brush hard to work with ( it sticks on your polish). It did cut the dry time of the top coat, but maybe because I didn’t wait at all between layers of polish at the end the manicure ended up a mess. SCQD is three free, does NOT have Seche’s chemical smell. I’d have to try it again over less coats of polish to see if I can recommend it.

I have tried a few beauty products lately. I tried the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I like it a lot, but I am over 40, and I wish they had included more matte shadows because shimmer shadows are not as flattering at my age. I also recently tried Sally Hansen’s cuticle remover & balm, the one with the green and white swirls, and I don’t like it because it leaves a residue on my cuticles that looks like gray gunk, and I have to use an orange stick while scrubbing to get the gunk off. Also recently tried Badger Balm, and it’s good, but it’s not as good as my cuticle oil or as petroleum jelly at moisturizing. Oh, and I tried Monistat anti-chafing gel as a primer and love it!

I’m in Canada, and the latest beauty product I’ve tried is one I just picked up last night. I have increasingly sensitive skin on my face and have mild rosacea, so my beauty products are needing some changes. I needed a moisturizer, and so I bit the bullet and picked up Clinique’s redness solution line’s moisturizer. It felt nice when I put it on this morning and it’s got a faint green tint to it (to help with redness, I’m thinking). The stuff was expensive, so I hope it works well for me.

A product that I have tried recently is Duri Rejuvacote. My nails are very fragile and I am in need of a good base coat so I always am on the lookout for something that protects my nails. Rejuvacote is a great product. I was thrown off at first by it because it has a pink tint to it but it didn’t even show up when I put it on my nails. The only down fall so far with the Rejuvacote is that it chips if i put too many coats of it on – other then that it is great. Another product that I have been recently using is the Burts Bee’s lemon balm for nails. That stuff is great and really seems to condition my nails. It smells so nice and makes my cuticles easier to deal with. Hope all is well with you. Have a great day! -Lynsey

Anyways the last make up I tried was this Special FX scar putty and generic cream makeup that I think I got from Value Village for a giant gash I did on my arm. While it looked amazing the putty made my arm feel itchy while I was wearing it. When I took it off my arm was fine. I’ll probably use up the rest of the putty I have by them but try and find something different next time. Also the putty is SUPER messy. I have to put it in the fridge before I use it and even then it’s still a pain. And you have to apply it quickly because if you don’t it becomes an unmanageable mess. Oh and I’m in Canada 🙂

Hi! I’m from Indonesia and i recently tried maybelline baby lips, the cherry one. First i thought it would feel good on the lips but it’s not. It just sits there and not moisturizing the lips, i prefer the-childhood-lipbalm lipsmacker . 🙂

Hi! I’m from the US, and I just bought the new Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Cat Eyes Mascara… What can I say? I’m a sucker for cute packaging! (It’s neon leopard print.) I’m not a brand loyalist when it comes to my mascara, so this one is so far so good 🙂

Hello! I found your blog via refinery29.com & I live in the U.S.A.

A brand new (to me) product that I recently tried was Philosophy’s “Senorita Margarita” bath & shower gel. I love the bright neon green color & the lather. It smells like a combination of salt & margaritas.

Thanks for doing this giveaway! The prizes look great!

    Cheers!

    Hi,
the last thing i currently tried was a crackle-polish from KIKO. Unfortunately I can’t find the name of the colour or a number, but it’s a bright lilac. very pretty colour, I like! 🙂 and the crackle-effect is filigree (I hope this is the correct word I was searching for)

I’mlateI’mlateI’mlateI’mlate! I left this tab open for too long, because I was wondering what I could say about a recent beauty product I’ve used… 8| I almost missed the deadline!

Lately I’ve been working at a cafe, sometimes as a cook and sometimes as a barista, and it’s like 60 hours a week so I haven’t had much time for new beauty products in the recent past. One thing I did try was not exactly a *beauty* product, but it was a new product- PVC glue as a base coat for glitter manis. It saves the hassle of using the tinfoil method or scrubbing for hours to remove glitter! Instead you peel it right off. The wear isn’t as long as it would be with a regular base coat, but it does stay on for a few days if you’re careful. It didn’t last a single shift at the cafe, but I use my hands pretty hard in this job. I imagine once I get back to a desk job (and a normal number of hours!) I’ll be able to make it last a full run.

    I’m from Israel. Cheers!

I recently tried this super sparkly glitter-bomb lipgloss I got from the dollar store. It was terrible, but it smelled like my childhood so I wore it anyways!

    Hi

I’m from the UK here – the last beauty product I tried was the OPI DS series colour ‘reserve’. I noticed when using it that it was a lot nicer coat than the usual OPI range, and the diamond sparkle made it ever so nice! I felt as though I was spoiling my nails – I stopped biting them this year, after biting nearly all my life! 😀

    Hi there,

The last beauty product I tried was the MAC x Marilyn Lipstick in Love Goddess. I’m absolutely in love with the whole collection and I wore the lipstick today for Halloween. I love Marilyn Monroe and MAC products. Thanks for the giveaway!

I recently tried Benefit’s Bella Bamb blush. I really like it. It’s long lasting and I think the shade works well with my dark skin tone. I am in the U.S. Love re shades in this giveaway!
