G. L. A. M. O. R. O. U. S. We flyin’ first class up in the sky. We flyin’ first class, livin’ the life. Sorry for my awful singing, which is worse than Fergie’s, believe it or not! But that’s the first thing to fly (first class) into my head when I saw e.l.f. Glamorous Mineral Eyeshadow.
I don’t really know why I got this shade as reddish eyeshadow is my nemesis color. Normally I don’t like it on me because the hue makes my eyes look puffy and swollen. I’m glad I took a risk though because I kind of like it. I don’t want to marry it or anything, but it could definitely work its way into my makeup rotation. But “glamorous”? Not quite!

elf Glamorous Mineral Eyeshadow Review
Color
elf Glamorous Mineral Eyeshadow is reddish with a tinge of plum mixed in. And there’s a thin veil of shimmer on top. It adds a little bit of a twinkle to the eye. Personally, I wish it sparkled even more since the shadow is called Glamorous, no?
It works as a very nice complementary color, I find. It’s not a shade to steal the spotlight, so it works well as a secondary color to a look-at-me shade. I’ve also worn it alone with liner. Against black liner, it makes my eyes look deeper instead of making them look puffy. I’ve also paired it against a green liner, too, and the two shades just pop against each other!
Unlike many of the elf shadows I’ve tried, this shade isn’t too different from the swatches on their website.
Pigmentation
As you can see in the swatches, e.l.f. Glamorous Mineral Eyeshadow has barely any color. But with a good primer, it intensifies and becomes much more vibrant. And the glitters are even more apparent.
Plus, if you wear it on top of a primer, you can blend the shadow without the color fading out on you.
Consistency & Application
Application of elf Mineral Eyeshadow in Glamorous isn’t hard. The consistency of it is fine so it spreads and applies evenly.
Staying Put
Befriend a good primer, or else Glamorous Eyeshadow from elf will disappear on you. It fades, and it creases on its own. But on a primer, you get hours of wear until you actually take it off with remover.

Final Verdict: 7.4/10
I’m surprised I like this shade, but I don’t love it. It’s not unique, and it’s not at all “glamorous.” It’s one of those colors that I wouldn’t repurchase again even if I run out.
What do you think of this shade? Do you have a nemesis color that you know doesn’t work against your skintone?
