I wore China Glaze I’m with the Lifeguard last week, and guys in particular would comment on how much they liked it.
This isn’t for the faint of heart. You have to want your nails to get attention if you use this. It’s very bright (but not the brightest neon green in my collection).
It reminds me of the colour of radioactive substances in cartoons I watched as a kid.

Colour
You can’t go through summer without donning a neon nail polish, I say! And since you know I’m a green fanatic, of course I’m going to suggest that you try out a neon green. Duh! 😉
This is really bright lime green, but I think that China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada is actually brighter. So, if you’re not prepared to go full throttle, I’m with the Lifeguard by China Glaze may be just the right amount of neon you need in your life.
Finish
Perhaps this isn’t new to you, but this shimmery finish on a neon is new to me. Normally the neons I’ve worn are jellyish or matte.
The shimmer in this is a yellow-green, so it adds that extra dimension to the polish and catches the light. It also creates some brush strokes, though. It doesn’t really bother me, but they are visible.
Application & Formula
I got pretty good coverage with 2 coats, but I added a third to see if it would make the colour even more saturated. It did make a bit of a difference, but I think you can get away with just 2 coats if you use medium coats like I did.

This is a fun neon green to wear, and it really puts you in high spirits every time you look at it. It’s an energetic colour that really spells summer to me.

I wore this to a party the other day and in the blacklights it looked like my nails were lighten. People kept complementing my on my nails 🙂 Love this colour!

I’m so obsessed with this whole collection!! I’m not a massive green fan, but I keep trying different shades in the hope that I’ll get used to seeing it on my nails! I bought 10 of the 12 shades from this collection (I skipped the orange and the blue jelly) and have worn 2 so far and loved them, but I kinda feel like I’m too old to wear neons (I’m 27, not that old but when I think of neon I think of teens), and then I think, well who cares what anyone else thinks, it makes me happy! I bought this green thinking I would probably only use it in nail art, but it looks great on you, so I think I’ll be brave and give it a go!! 🙂

I’m not usually a ‘buy a whole collection’ girl, I usually pick the ones I know I will wear and leave the rest, but there was something about this one!!
I was thinking water marbling, or some sort of tape design using a few colours! I might still do that!
I will report back once I’ve worn the green – might be a while, I think I will only bust this one out in Summer here in Australia!!
This would make for a really fun, summery water-marbling design! (Argh…still haven’t tried that technique. Been putting it off…)

I really love this color. Since I’ve bought it I have not really wanted to wear any other color. I keep going back to this one. It’s the only neon color I have right now. Haha, I’ve worn this to work. I guess I’m really lucky because my workplace allows us to wear any kind of nail polish (within reason…haha, I don’t think doing nail art with swear words would be a good idea!).

This one defies the camera to capture how bright it really is. As I recall, some folks who took photos of it with no daylight, dark background seemed to kind of capture the day glow look this one has. It’s by far the brightest in this collection – well if the yellow one could be as saturated as the green is color wise, it’s a close draw on which really is the most bright. I adore this green for summertime.

I ended up buying 5 from this collection and ever since , the only one that I have actually used repeatedly is this green. Without purposely doing so, it has become my favorite summer shade! Did you get Surfing for Boys? That’s another one I liked when I saw it in the bottle and on a co-worker’s nails.
My brightest green is definitely China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada – it’s a neon and it looks like it could glow (even though it can’t). Love it, even if it’s a little streaky sometimes.
I agree with the above comment that it looks a lot better on the nail than in the bottle. The bottles I saw all seemed speckled and not shimmery at all, so I ended up choosing something else. Now I’m going to have to go back and try it! It’s pretty!

The brushstrokes aren’t as bad as on metallic polishes – it’s slight. But I understand how they can be annoying. There’s nothing quite like a creamy, smooth polish that looks like glass! 🙂

I do wear neons in the summer months only and prefer them without the shimmer (I really am a cream-girl at heart).
Crush on a lifeguard (with the OPI posts of yours and this one you’re getting an earfull of my German life) but I will hesitantly admit that I was a HUGE Baywatch fan. I was 9 ish an everyone in Germany was all over Mr. Hasselhoff (sp?) and I think that may have rubbed off on my young little heart. Add a couple of years and the Hoff turned yuck … but some of the other lifeguards on that show were pretty sexey… 😉

I think you should try wearing a neon in the dead of winter. That’s one of my favourite times to wear them because it looks super bright with the snow. And in the winter, it gets dark so early, a lot of people wear black jackets, and it’s a gloomier season. The neon polish really helps me counteract the gloom and doom.
Oh yeah…I remember those sexy lifeguards on Baywatch! 😉 Wonder what they’re doing now…haven’t heard about them in the celebrity news much.
