Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Night Cream Review & Pictures

Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Night Cream ReviewI used to wear moisturizers from the drugstore, but it wasn’t until I splurged on Shiseido skincare a couple of years ago that I really felt like I had hit that sweet spot with my skin.

Sure, the much-higher price tag is still hard for me to swallow, but if there’s something that you shouldn’t skimp on, it’s your skin, your body’s largest organ. So I feel that it’s worth every single penny.

(If you shell out for makeup, stuff you put on top, you had better make sure the canvas it’s sitting on is a good foundation.)

Through the couple of years that I’ve dived into Shiseido skincare, I’ve found my favourite when my skin feels dry, like it did during the seemingly endless winter we had this year: the Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Night Cream!

It’s more for mature, dry skin, but even though I’m in my 30s, I really enjoyed it. Plus I’m a late-bloomer when it comes to using anti-aging skincare. Pretty much all my friends started using age-defying skincare in their early 20s. Better late than never!

Although nail polish is more fun for me to review, I knew I had to share a review on this because I recently just finished an entire tub of it, and I repurchased it during the Sephora VIB Rouge sale this month.

Dial Frozen Yogurt Cooling Body Wash Review & Pictures

Dial Frozen Yogurt Cooling Body Wash ReviewWhenever I go shopping and want to pick up yogurt, 9 times out of 10, I get Greek yogurt because I love how thick it is.

In the summer, I occasionally get frozen yogurt as a treat and for something different than ice cream.

The reason I’m bringing this up is because Dial has come out with a new body wash that’s both intriguing and that’ll have you smacking your lips. Seriously, it sounds like it’s good enough to eat – but don’t be tempted to try a mouthful! 😉

It’s called the Dial Frozen Yogurt Cooling Body Wash, and the label looks mighty delicious! (No, I didn’t have a test taste of body wash!)

Interesting Thing: See on the label? It’s spelled as “yogourt”? Since in Canada, bilingual packaging is needed for legal reasons, “yogourt” is the common spelling. But “yogurt” is the popular Canadian spelling of it in general that even the official press release about this product uses it. (I genuinely find stuff like this interesting. Is it just me?)

Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash Review & Pictures

Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash ReviewI like switching up my shower gel occasionally just so I don’t get stuck in a rut. Plus there are always new scents available, so it’s exciting to try new things.

To me, shower gels aren’t huge commitments because after just a couple of months or so, you can easily finish a bottle, and you’re onto the next.

Recently, I tried the new Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash, which is antibacterial.

I haven’t tried many Dial body washes, so I decided to give this one a go!

Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash (Pink Grapefruit) Review & Pictures

Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash Pink GrapefruitOn a rotation with my favourite shower gel (Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel that I reviewed way back in 2010), for many years, I’ve been using the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash (Pink Grapefruit) because I love the refreshing scent first thing in the morning.

There have been some shower gels I’ve tried that smell too strongly of floral perfume or of the sea. I can’t get down with those. When I lather up, I always seem to gravitate toward scents that smell edible. 😉

This Neutrogena body wash is specially formulated to help those who have blemish-prone skin on their body. Even though I don’t, I still use it because the smell really wakes you up. Plus I like how it doesn’t leave behind any residue. (You know how some shower gels claim to moisturize, but then just leave a gross film of product on your skin? I really dislike that because it makes my skin feel dirty, even though I just stepped out of the shower.)

My favourite time to use the grapefruit Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash is in the summer, especially when it’s humid. However, I still like using it in the winter because, as I’ve said, the fragrance really hooked me!

When my father was alive, I actually got him into this Neutrogena shower gel, too! He loved it for the same reasons I do: the scent and the clean-skin feeling.

Haha, if I can make a believer out of a man who was all about no frills, perhaps I can convince you to give this shower gel a shot! 😉

OPI Avojuice Holly Berry Hand & Body Lotion Review, Pictures & Press Release

OPI Avojuice Holly Berry Hand & Body Lotion ReviewMoisturizing your hands, especially when the weather takes a dip is so important. And since the dry, hot air in the office can wreck havoc on your hands, a good lotion is a must-have.

Unfortunately, I usually slack off when it comes to putting on hand lotion, so my cuticles often look pretty ragged during this time of year. And the fact that I tend to wash my hands a lot doesn’t help matters.

One thing that will motivate me to give my hands tender loving care? A fast-absorbing lotion like the OPI Avojuice Holly Berry Hand & Body Lotion, which is a new addition this year!

Only very recently have I had the pleasure of trying out the OPI Avojuices, and I’m pretty impressed!

OPI Avojuice Peony & Poppy Hand & Body Lotion Review & Pictures

OPI Avojuice Peony & Poppy Hand & Body Lotion Review & PicturesI feel like I’ve tapped into a whole other world ever since the OPI Avojuice lotions came into my life.

For a long time, I thought that hydrating lotions had to be really thick and greasy. Even so, I was constantly on the hunt to find one that would absorb quickly so that I wouldn’t leave a gross mess on my keyboard at work.

You’ll remember that I reviewed OPI Avojuice Violet Orchid not long ago. At the same time I was testing that out, I also tried the OPI Avojuice Peony & Poppy Hand & Body Lotion.

So how did it compare? And would I recommend one scent over the other? There’s only one way to find out!

Garnier BB Cream Combination to Oily Skin Review, Swatches & Pictures

Garnier BB Cream Combination to Oily Skin Review, Swatches & PicturesThe Garnier BB Cream for Combination to Oily Skin (Light/Medium) is a product that I’ve been wanting to try for a very long time because of all the hype.

You’ll remember that the original formulation fell flat on a lot of key points for many people who were hoping for the ‘miraculous’ skincare/makeup product that BB creams were supposed to be.

This new Combination to Oily Skin version stepped up to the plate, I heard, which is why I decided to try it.

I’ve been wearing it on a daily basis for about a month, and considering that I’ve also been wearing it during these really humid days where the temperature has felt like around 40+ degrees Celsius, I think it’s a great test!

So how did it hold up? Did it live up to all the hype? There’s only one way to find out!

P.S. Thank you, everyone, for voting for me in the Nicole by OPI Blogger Challenge! (I got 97 votes – WOW!) I had fun participating, and I really appreciated your support.

Edit: I just checked Nicole by OPI’s Facebook page, and apparently you can STILL VOTE for me until the end of today (July 19th). So, if you didn’t vote yet, please do so, and “Like” my snake nail art!
