La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Review

My skin is super dry. So if I use a face sunscreen, I have to put on an extra layer of moisturizer underneath. It’s not a comfy feeling! That’s why I opt for a lotion with SPF built in. I wear it every day of the year, not just in summer. The sun doesn’t hibernate in the winter!

I decided to give the La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV a try because it’s formulated for dehydrated skin and dry skin lacking elasticity. Yup, got that. So should you make La Roche-Posay Hydraphase your go-to moisturizer with sunscreen? Continue reading

My skin is weird (like me). It’s dry, but some spots can get oily. And when I run my finger across the oily spots, I also see my skin flaking. Even still, I would classify it as dry. (One time, the lady who was threading my eyebrows actually commented on how dry my skin is. Kinda embarrassing.)

In my search of a moisturizer that hydrates without clogging, I decided to give Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream Fortifying & Soothing 24Hr Hydrating Care a try. I like Vichy and am usually fond of their products, but this moisturizer…I‘m not overly enthusiastic about. Continue reading

For months, I’ve wanted the Clarisonic Skincare Brush. But what if I don’t like it? That’s a whole lot of $$ down the drain. So I decided to first try the Sephora Face Complexion Brush, a manual version of the expensive electronic one. I don’t know what I had hoped. Whether I love it or hate it, wouldn’t it just make me want the Clarisonic one more?

The Sephora brush was definitely worth the buy for me, but not for the reasons you might think… Continue reading

Makeup remover isn’t as fun as makeup, no doubt. But! It’s still an important step of your daily beauty routine. Removing all traces of makeup allows your skin to breathe and regenerate at night. I-m-p-o-r-t-a-n-t!

After using many different types of eye makeup remover, I would say that Sephora FACE Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover is one of the best so far. That’s not to say I’ll stop my search for the perfect remover…because that means I’ll have to stop purchasing and trying new products! 😛 Continue reading

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Review (Tin & Tube)

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

With all the alarmist health news telling us every day that something new causes cancer, it’s no wonder that more people are looking for beauty products with less chemicals and more natural ingredients.

I picked up the tin and tube versions of Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm on separate occasions years ago and thought it would be a good idea to review them both now. While you may think the packaging is the only difference, that’s not the case at all. (More on that later.) Continue reading
