Nicole by OPI Pretty in Plum is yet another shade I have to show you from the upcoming Selena Gomez Collection due out in January 2013.
It may be because I’ve watched West Side Story so many times, but when I first read the name, a mental image of Maria (played by Natalie Wood) dancing around the sewing room and singing “I Feel Pretty” immediately sprung to mind.
Indeed, Natalie Wood was so gorgeous. And…confession time! Although that musical came out waaaaay before my time, when my father introduced me to the movie when I was a kid, I had the biggest crush on Richard Beymer (who played Tony, Maria’s love interest). It was after their duet, Tonight, that I swooned. Think hearts instead of pupils. I used to imagine that he was singing “Mary” instead of “Maria” in this song where he expresses his love for her.) 😉
Hahaha, and I always thought it was hilarious that the gang members (the Jets and the Sharks) danced ballet! Don’t think I would ever be intimidated by any gang who can pirouette and have an entire dance choreography that they perform on the street. (And, for the record, I thought the Sharks were hotter than the Jets.)
Ooohhh, and who can forget the hilarious Officer Krupke number? That song still cracks me up today!
Okay, but back to the nail polish, right?

Although Nicole by OPI Spring Break looked nice on its own, I couldn’t help but put one coat of Nicole by OPI Sweet Dreams on top.
Although brushes aren’t as exciting to review as nail polish or makeup, I find them very useful.
Hope you had a wonderful Hallowe’en last night! (What did you wear on your nails for fright night?)
Are you a fan of Tim Burton or of The Nightmare Before Christmas? Then you might like these Jack Skellington Nails!
First thing’s first. I want to say that my thoughts and prayers go out especially to those on the east coat who are experiencing the worst of Sandy, the hurricane-turned-post-tropical-cyclone. Please be safe!
You’ll remember that I
