Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat Review & Pictures

Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat ReviewStanding in line at the bank to see a teller. Downloading a new software. Boiling water for the pasta. We play the waiting game all the time. The last thing we want to do is also wait for our manicure to dry.

This is where the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat comes in. It knows you want to lock in the color right here and right now. But it’s not down and dirty – it’s clear and glossy like glass.

With the Seche Vite topcoat, dings or sheet marks on your manicure are a thing of the past. After discovering this gem years ago, it has completely changed (improved!) my polish routine, and I can’t imagine painting my nails without this stuff! Continue reading

China Glaze Sexagon Swatches & Review

China Glaze Sexagon SwatchChina Glaze Sexagon is bringin’ sexy back! You know exactly what I mean if you’re lucky to get your hands on this discontinued silver holo from the China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection.

Because it’s a holo, it looks like a pixel rainbow on your nails! You can see red, blue, green, yellow, orange, silver, purple, and other colors. And when you move your fingers, the colors move on your nails, too!

I took tons of extra nail swatches so you can see it up close and personal. Are you a fan of holo nail polishes? Continue reading

OPI Swiss Collection Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous Review & Swatches

** This post was written by Fiona. She no longer blogs for Swatch And Learn. However, Mary still continues to blog and will be happy to reply to your comment. **

There’s a place in my heart for metallic silvers. The bright reflection has a cool, sexy vibe, while the steel color represents strength. Cool, sexy, and strong – I love it. So naturally, like a magnet, I was drawn to OPI Swiss Collection Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous.

Like this color, I do. Love it, I don’t. It’s slightly more interesting than the run-of-the-mill silvers/glossy grays/gunmetal shades. It’s a good staple color to have in the collection, but it doesn’t wow me as much as I thought it would. I was a bit disappointed. Continue reading

China Glaze Peace On Earth Swatches & Review

China Glaze Peace On Earth SwatchesThere are plenty of forest-green nail polishes out there (and I really love them!), but sometimes you want something a little different. China Glaze Peace On Earth is a good kind of different.

This beautiful shimmery olive green has an antique feel that’s quite decadent. The color is neutral, so even if you’re not ready to rock Kermit-the-Frog green polish, this is a great entry-level green to try.

What I like a lot about China Glaze Peace On Earth is that it catches the light and seems to be lit from within because of its light center and darker edges.

Take a look at my swatches, and you’ll understand why I’m so excited to have this color in my nail-polish collection. Continue reading

China Glaze Ruby Pumps Swatches & Review

China Glaze Ruby Pumps SwatchesThe Wizard of Oz is one of the movies I absolutely love. When I was in kindergarten, I watched it at least once a week.

I had a huge crush on the Scarecrow, always tried to find shoes that resembled Dorothy’s ruby slippers, and wanted Glinda the Good Witch of the North’s dress.

So of course when China Glaze Ruby Pumps came out, I had to have it! And now I enjoy it not just for the name, but for the gorgeous hue, too.

If you’ve never tried it, you’re seriously missing out. This is the quintessential red glitter for any nail-polish collection. It’s sexy, sparkly, and easy to apply.

Even if reds aren’t your favorite, you’ll fall in love with this one. Continue reading

China Glaze Blue Sparrow Swatches & Review

China Glaze Blue Sparrow SwatchI was in a Smurfy mood, so I turned to one of my favorites – China Glaze Blue Sparrow from the Ink Collection that came out a couple of summers ago.

Not only does this polish have a long-lasting formula, but the shade of blue is to die for! It’s a vibrant comic-book blue with blue glitter that’s fun to wear.

This is one of those colors that I’ve worn multiple times even though I have an embarrassing number of colors to choose from. China Glaze Blue Sparrow is bright, but not shocking. And it’s glittery, but not a disco ball. Tell me what you think of this color! Continue reading
