Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Strawberry Shortcake Swatches & Review

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Strawberry Shortcake Swatches & ReviewOkay, okay…so I said before that after getting 3 of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters that I wasn’t interested in any of the other colours.

A $4.99 CAD sale at Rexall changed my mind. Hahahahaha! (Hypocrite much? Oh boy…)

I picked up a few additional shades. Among them was Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Strawberry Shortcake!

Like I’ve said before – these Revlon Lip Butters are like potato chips. You can’t just have one. And there are so many wearable shades…ahhhhh!

Yes to Carrots Color Balm Soft Plum Swatches & Review

Yes to Carrots Color Balm Soft Plum Swatches & Review PhotosThere are chemicals everywhere – in your food, in your fragrances, and in your cosmetics.

While it isn’t realistic to believe you can avoid chemicals and fillers completely, picking more natural products in the makeup aisle can make a difference.

I tried the Yes to Carrots Color Balm Soft Plum. It’s a lightly tinted lip balm that’s 99% natural and free of Petroleum, SLS, and Paraben. It’s also cruelty-free.

Since the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters are all the rage now, I was really curious to experiment and see how this Yes to Carrots Color Balm stacked up.

Did one K.O. the other in beauty boxing? You’re about to find out!

Wet n Wild Color Icon On Cloud Nine Swatches & Review

Wet n Wild Color Icon On Cloud Nine Swatches & Review Wet n Wild Color Icon On Cloud Nine is one of the many Wet n Wild Color Icon eye-shadow trios that beauty lovers talked about since hitting the market. Not only do these shadows offer great pigmentation, but the price is right, Bob Barker!

In Canada, I think these are mainly available at Wal-Mart. In the States, there are a few drugstores where you can find them at.

Since I rarely shop at Wal-Mart, I probably wouldn’t have been able to try it out if not for my thoughtful friend, Carmela from Polished Indulgence! (Thank you!) We did a little swap of sorts quite some time ago, and it was a lot of fun! 🙂

You know, this is the first Wet n Wild product that I’ve used since high school. The brand really has come a long way since then.

Before, I used to buy their $0.99 eyeliners and nail polishes. They were okay, but nothing to write home about. (Although, there was this one dark blue polish I used to put silver glitter on top of, and it looked like a starry night sky. I loved it so much!)

Today, the brand boasts fantastic shadows that perform surprisingly well when compared to their pricier competitors.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Lollipop Swatches & Review

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Lollipop Swatches & ReviewRevlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Lollipop was actually the first ColorBurst Lip Butter that I wanted to try, but the promotional displays were always picked clean. Then, the one tube I found was opened, and I just couldn’t bring myself to buy something that was contaminated. (Eww!)

Of course, when I wasn’t looking for it, I found it at the grocery store…sealed and fresh. So, naturally, it had to jump into my shopping bag. 😉

After purchasing Peach Parfait and Red Velvet, I thought that I would stop there. But, like a lot of fellow beauty lovers out there found out, it’s hard to not want to collect them.

I’m blaming Lollipop for making me obsessed with pink lip colour now! It’s bold, but not too out there. It’s bright, but nowhere near neon. And it’s very wearable.

Let me tell you more about what I thought of this shade.

elf Studio Giddy Gold Blush Swatches & Review

elf Studio Giddy Gold Blush Swatches & ReviewThere are lots of things that make us feel giddy: falling in love, a first kiss, or receiving a box full of nail polish in the mail! 😉

I bought the elf Studio Giddy Gold Blush several months ago when the elf Cosmetics website had a crazy 70% off sale. Now, that, made me giddy!

The elf Giddy Gold Blush is unlike any of the other blushes I’ve ever tried because it’s, well, gold. I usually go for pink, red, or coral blushes.

So what did I think of this? Let me tell you.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Peach Parfait Swatches & Review

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Peach Parfait Swatches & ReviewIf given the option, 99% of the time, I would reach for a lip gloss instead of a lipstick because I like my lips to feel moisturized.

I do have a few favourite lipsticks, but I always wished that they wouldn’t leave my pout feeling dry.

Enter the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters.

Ever since I first heard all the hype surrounding them, I’ve been wanting to try at least one so badly.

Not only are they supposed to offer some colour, but they’re also supposed to keep your lips feeling good instead of tight and dry.

I ended up buying two shades, one of which is Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Peach Parfait! And I’m very happy that I chose this one. It’s easy-to-wear, very natural, and gives your lips a little shimmer.

elf Cosmetics Studio Pink Passion Blush Swatches & Review

elf Cosmetics Pink Passion Studio Blush Swatches & ReviewSince I’m going to be talking about the elf Cosmetics Studio Pink Passion Blush, I thought it would be appropriate to take this time to tell you about something embarrassing I did that made me blush. (It may not seem too bad, but at the time, I was mortified!)

I think it was when I was 12 years old or so. My parents and I were in church on Father’s Day.

I misheard the priest and thought he said, “Let’s stand and pray for all the fathers who are here today.” So, I stood up, but my mom remained seated and motioned to me to sit down. Then…I saw that there were only men standing, so I quickly sat down. Apparently only the fathers were supposed to stand.

I could feel my cheeks burning up. (And I tried to pay more attention during future masses. :P)

What’s one of your embarrassing moments? Continue reading
