Organix Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk Shampoo, Conditioner & Silk Serum Review & Pictures

Organix Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk CollectionI’m always willing to try new haircare, and when I heard of the Organix Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk line, I couldn’t resist. Sure, the bottles are reminiscent of the gaudy 1980s, but it’s what’s inside that counts, right?

What stood out about the Organix Soft & Silky Vanilla Silk Shampoo, Conditioner, and Silk Serum is that they’re all sulfate-free!

I had never tried any sulfate-free haircare, but read about how much gentler and healthier it is on your tresses. Because I put my locks through the ringer each morning with blow-drying and flat-ironing, my hair really needed the pampering.

Once you get past the ugly packaging and the lack of eye-catching colors, you’ll realize that these products actually work wonders.

From the first use, it gave my hair a makeover. Let me tell you more about it. Continue reading

Sedu Flat Iron Review & Pictures

Sedu Flat IronWhen left to its own devices, my hair is like a teenager who has the house to themselves because their parents are out of town. It’s Tresses Gone Wild! So that’s why I have to discipline it with the Sedu Flat Iron.

When my CHI Flat Iron died on me several years ago (the on/off button broke), I decided to test-drive a new brand. After doing a lot of research, I opted for the Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron with the 1.5-inch plates. And it’s lasted me for about 4 years now.

Even though it was one of the most expensive hair-styling tools I’ve ever bought, it’s a purchase I don’t regret. The CHI never made or kept my locks this straight, so I’m a happy camper. Continue reading

TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray Review & Pictures

TRESemme Heat Tamer SpraySince I blow-dry and flat-iron my tresses practically every morning, and my hair is already on the drier side, I was looking into heat-protectant sprays to reduce the damage.

It seemed like most of the reviews I read online raved about the TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray, so I had to test it out for myself to see if it lived up to all the hype.

While it works really well, there was one factor that completely fizzled for me. Continue reading to find out why.

Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion Therapy Review & Pictures

Coppola Keratin Complex Infusin Therapy

Dry weather. Dry jokes. Those get the thumbs up from me. But when it comes to my hair, being dry doesn’t fly. (Dr. Seuss, eat your heart out on that rhyme!)

I’m always on the lookout for moisturizing haircare that doesn’t leave my hair greasy. And because I don’t like to use too many hair products after I just shampooed my hair, I really wanted something that wouldn’t leave a sticky residue or make my hair feel dirty.

When my hair stylist recommended the Coppola Keratin Complex Infusion Therapy, I decided to give it a go. Having shelled out $50 for this, I was expecting the moon…and it didn’t disappoint.

TRESemme Anti-Frizz Secret Smooth Hair Creme Review & Pictures

TRESemme Anti-Frizz Secret Smooth Hair Creme

It’s been an extremely humid summer. Some day you could just be standing and sweat like a pig. And my finicky hair rebels in the form of frizz. I swear, it seeks out every last bit of moisture in the air like a stealthy ninja! Then I’m left with what looks like a hairball that my cat coughed up. It sure ain’t pretty.

So when I saw tubes of TRESemme Anti-Frizz Secret Smooth Hair Creme lining the shelves at Rexall on sale, I had to try it to see if it could tame the beast on my head.

Does it work? Let me tell you. Continue reading
