Blog News: My Neon Skull Nails Featured on beautylish

I have some cool news to share: My wonderful reader, Frances (aka Frosso) from Lacquer Me Silly, told me yesterday that we were featured on beautylish!

They chose to highlight her whimsical Tim Burton MoMa-inspired manicure and my neon skull nails.

(Click here if you want to see my traditional black-and-white-skull nail-art tutorial for it. You can check out the original beautylish articleΒ here or by clicking on the below screenshot.)

There are also lots of interesting designs from other talented ladies. It’s very inspiring to see their self-expression! πŸ™‚ I highly recommend you check it out and join beautylish if you haven’t already – it’s free and fun.

Whenever I receive amazing news like this, it always reminds me to thank you for being so supportive. I really value my blog readers, whether you’ve been with me since the very beginning or have just found Swatch And Learn today.

I’m proud to be part of the nail-polish community – we’re a strong and creative group! I feel like we’ve learned so much from each other, and it makes me smile just thinking about how a similar interest (haha, or obsession!) like nail polish can bring people all over the world together.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog despite your busy schedule! I know that we’re all really busy, life gets stressful, and sometimes we feel like we can’t even breathe. So the fact that you’ve spent any time on here is a big deal to me – it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

On another note…

What are you up to this weekend? I’m going to be up to something really cool! Although I won’t spoil it by saying what it is yet, I can tell you that it made me scream for joy on the inside and squeal like a happy Wilbur the pig on the outside!Β *Pinches self to make sure it’s not a dream* But, don’t worry, I won’t be a tease for long. πŸ˜‰ I’ll definitely be blogging about it (probably next week). Keep your eyes peeled like a banana…(I also hope to start the Milani giveaway soon. It’ll be open to everyone!)

I adore that nail art, but you already know that πŸ˜‰
    Congrats on the feature!

I’m going out with friends tonight, meeting one of them beforehand with whom I’ll eat dinner and play a few rounds of Meyer. Meaning we’ll be pretty darn drunk when the rest of our friens show up. Classic, haha. Going to Spain Monday!!! πŸ˜€

      Hey Charlotte!

      Thanks so much! πŸ˜€

Did you have a fun time last night? Haha, any hangover today?

Have fun in Spain! I want to go there someday. How long will you be there?

I had so much fun last night. Ended up sleeping at my friend’s apartment because I was drunk and tired and had such a long way home. We were both pretty hung over, so we slept a lot and watched Ice Age before I went home, haha.

Thanks. Spain is pretty awesome! I’ll just be there for a week with my parents, but I can’t wait to get me some sunshine!!! πŸ™‚

Yeah, it’s good that you were smart and stayed the night instead of stumbling home drunk. I’ve known some people who just went home afterwards (even though it was a long trek on public transit), and they kind of got into some trouble, let’s say.

Oh, a week in Spain sounds lovely! Enjoy all the scenery and the delicious food. And, of course, don’t forget to pick up some local cosmetics and nail polish! πŸ˜‰

      Hey Gelic’ nail art!

      Thank you so much! πŸ™‚

Ahhh…I know how hard it can be to motivate yourself. Sometimes even if you don’t want to do it, you just have to push yourself. The hardest part is starting. Then, once you’re doing it, time flies right by.

I wish you the best on your studies! Hope your hard work really pays off.

I’m curious as to what you’re up to now! Hmmmm…I guess I’ll just have to wait, and peel my banana eyes.

      Hey Frosso!

And you should be excited! πŸ™‚ It’s such an honour that they recognized your hard work. Your design was really fun, and you paid such great attention to all the details.

You won’t have to wait long. I’ll be typing up a storm no doubt after the event (which is going down this evening). πŸ˜‰
