Hi all! Some news: This is going to be my last blog post. But don’t worry: Swatch And Learn will still be around – Mary’s still going to be doing her in-depth reviews, vivid swatches and silly nail art!
So for my last post on Swatch And Learn, I bring you Benefit Feelin’ Cheeky: Posietint, High Beam & Benetint. I’ve been wanting to review this for the longest time, but the tints are sooooo hard to photograph. The pictures still didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped, but I need to rave about the tints before I go. 😛

Benefit Cosmetics Feeling Cheeky Mini Set Review
I love that Benefit Cosmetics decided to group these minis into one set. I’ve wanted to try Benefit High Beam for the longest time. I always pick it up at Sephora and then put it down. I’d walk around the store and return to High Beam to pick up and put down again.
The price on the big bottle is just a tad too much! And the minis contained in this value set last a long time, so I’m glad I didn’t get the big bottle.
Benefit Posietint Review
Color
Benefit Posietint is the more vibrant and pinker of the two blush tints. It’s awesome if you want a flush of pink that looks young and fresh. On the brush, the color looks mighty scary because it’s so in-your-face. When you apply it and blend, it looks quite sheer and soft. I like this because I don’t like super-pigmented blushes that make you look like a clown.
Application & Consistency
Simply brush Posie Tint onto the apples of your cheeks and use your finger to blend. You don’t need a lot, but it allows you to layer it for a stronger flush of color should you want it. The consistency is thicker, so it doesn’t run for easy application.
The timing of when to blend is crucial. If you blend right away after applying it, it doesn’t tint the cheeks enough. But if you wait too long, then it’s really hard to blend because the product would have left a stain on your cheeks. In one of the swatches, I left it on for too long while I grabbed my camera and adjusted the zoom. I usually apply it, count to two, and then blend. Can be used on lips and cheeks.
Longevity
I have dry skin, so powder blushes don’t work well on me. I’ve only tried 1 cream blush (NARS Orgasm), which I like and does last longer. It’s expensive though! That’s why I’m loving my Benefit Posietint mini – the blush lasts me alllllllllll day. Yes, it’s faded a bit by the end, but I can still see it.
Benefit Benetint Review
Color & Scent
In the bottle, Benefit Benetint looks like a vial of blood! But when you apply and blend the blood – I mean, tint – the color becomes a rosy red. As with Posie Tint, it’s sheer and looks natural. You can layer this for a richer color.
It is fragranced, which I don’t like. It smells like rosewater – good thing is that the scent doesn’t last.
Application & Consistency
Benefit Benetint is a thin liquid – it makes application a little difficult because it does run. I find that you have a bit more time with this as to when to blend. If left on too long without blending, it doesn’t stain the cheeks in one spot. The liquid sort of disperses itself onto your skin – almost like it’s auto blending. Lol. But I’d still blend with your fingers for more precise application. Can be used on lips and cheeks.
Longevity
Bene Tint by Benefit also lasts me through the entire day, which I’m loving! The reason why I started wearing blush to begin with is because my dad says I look pale and sick every time he sees me. Well, I want to look healthy throughout the entire day, not just in the morning! 😛
Benefit High Beam Review
Color
Benefit High Beam itself is a soft peach color. Blended, it’s a light shimmery milky shade that highlights the skin for reflective glow.
Application & Consistency
It’s in a creamier formula so that you can get precise application without it worrying about running. Unlike the blush tints, High Beam by Benefit gives you plenty of time to dillydally. It blends well even if you’ve left it on the skin for many seconds. You can use this underneath your brows, on the corners of your eyes, to highlight your cheekbones, and even dab a bit on your pout.
Longevity
I was convinced to get this value set because of Benefit High Beam. It is, however, my least favorite of the products. That’s because it doesn’t last me the whole day and disappears around the 4-hour mark. Sad face -> :(.

Final Verdict: 8/10
I’m really glad that I got to try Benefit’s cheek tints because I love how they last me until the night. However, the colors are a little one-dimensional, so if you’re looking for cheek shades that are shimmery, they won’t work for you!
Anyway, I’ve had a blast blogging for you guys. Thanks so much for listening to me rant and praise products. I loved reading your comments! Before I go, I’d like to give a special shout-out to a blogger: Ruthe Huang of Smile for the Little Things. She has one of the best attitudes I’ve ever encountered and is very enthusiastic about life. If you have time, give her a looksee – I’m sure she’ll appreciate it! 🙂
Have you tried Benefit cheek tints? Do you prefer creams, powders or tints for your cheeks? What shades do you usually wear?
Last blog post..? 🙁
I love the Benefit line and High Beam has been an old favorite. I’ve tried the tints but they’re hard for me to work with on my cheeks (no, really) and prefer to use them on my lips. I just recently discovered Natural Beauty from Sally Hansen (Carmindy from What Not To Wear’s line) and their cream blushes are amazing. Super creamy, pigmented and blendable, they also last forever on me. Blooming gives you this pretty flush that looks completely natural. 🙂
Will miss you, Fiona. 🙂
WHAT?? You’re not going to be posting anymore?!? 🙁 I hope we stay in touch outside of Swatch and Learn! 🙂 And thanks so much for giving me a shout-out; I really appreciate it!! 😀 You really do flatter me too much ;P.
I’ve been interested in Benefit’s cheek tints, but I always think they look so scary! However this review proved me wrong, and I think I’ll keep them in mind next time I go to Sephora!
I’ll definitely miss your posts, Fiona! Maybe one day you’ll reconsider and start blogging again? And again, I hope to keep in touch! 🙂

Fiona, we will miss you! It was really great having two viewpoints on products. Mary will continue to do a great job, I know. All the best no matter what you end up doing!

I just started following you all, so I’m very new to Swatch and Learn, but I wish you the best, Fiona! Thank you for this last great review. I just noticed Carmela’s comment and I’d like to second that, those are some nice and affordable cream blushes.
