OPI Walks the Runway with Reem Acra at New York Fashion Week!

Below is the official press release sent to me by PR:

OPI joined Reem Acra for the designer’s Spring 2014 presentation at Lincoln Center on Monday. The models’ intricate and complex hair was balanced by fresh and clean makeup and nails, which were polished with ‘You Callin’ Me a Lyre?’ for an overall look evoking 70s glam.

OPI Joins Holmes & Yang at New York Fashion Week!

Holmes & Yang OPI NYFW 2013As promised, here’s the second quick post for today with a New York Fashion Week theme!

OPI Joins Holmes & Yang at New York Fashion Week!

The official press release sent to me by OPI’s PR:

OPI joined Holmes & Yang for the line’s Spring 2014 launch at an art gallery in Chelsea. Designers Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang selected the sheer shade ‘So Many Clowns…So Little Time’ for nails, but added a unique slanted French tip in deep blue ‘I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw’ for a pop of color. Models wore ‘I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw’ on toes as well.

CND Vinylux Daring Escape Swatches & Review

CND Vinylux Daring Escape Swatches & ReviewA few weeks ago, Trade Secrets reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try the new CND Vinylux Weekly Polishes.

They let me pick a couple of shades from the line, and they also sent me the CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat, which is meant to be used in conjunction with the Weekly Polish.

One of the colours I chose was CND Vinylux Daring Escape because I don’t have too many dusty blues, and I thought the shimmer in this one would be interesting.

Although I don’t typically wear the same nail polish for a full week straight, I was still intrigued to test them out because I know that a lot of my readers would be interested to see how well it holds up.

To properly test out the longevity of CND Vinylux Daring Escape, I wore it for 6 consecutive days without any touch-ups.

I am pretty hard on my hands, and at work, I need to be on the keyboard constantly. (No princess fingernails here! I guess they’d be called peasant fingernails! Hehehehe!)

OPI This Gown Needs a Crown Swatches & Review

OPI This Gown Needs a Crown Swatches & ReviewOPI This Gown Needs a Crown is from the Miss Universe 2013 Collection, and it features a textured satin finish.

Unlike the OPI Liquid Sand finish, this satin finish is much smoother, although it’s not shiny. I can best describe it as feeling like sea glass (frosted glass).

This satin finish is supposed to be worn as-is, without a top coat, so that’s exactly how I wore it and it’s what you’re seeing in all the photos in this post.

I really love the subtle texture, and even if you aren’t a fan of the trendy gritty textures out there, you may want to try this one because it’s much, mucchhhh smoother.

You also get a cool sparkly crown ‘ring’. It’s a cute little accessory that you’ll find wrapped around the handle of the bottle.

Nail Art: Dotticure Using the 3 Nail Polishes in the OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection

Dotticure OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection Nails Nail ArtThere are 3 limited-edition shades from the OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection, and when I took one glance at them, I knew I’d have to wear them together in some playful nail art.

Since I was strapped for time, I decided to whip out my trusty double-ended dotting tool to create this quick and simple look.

Using a dotting tool is as fun as popping bubble wrap, and since I hadn’t created a dotticure in a long time, it was fine time!

In this post, I’ll show you more photos of my Dotticure Using the OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection.

What kind of nail looks would you create using the 3 shades (OPI This Gown Needs a Crown, OPI I’m Feeling Sashy, and OPI Miss You-niverse)?
