After purchasing Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Sunbaked Neutrals, I realized that I own a lot and a lot of green eyeshadows. I just think green is such a nice color! And this palette has one of the prettiest green eyeshadows of my collection!

But it’s not just about the green. It actually has more neutral colors in matte, shimmery and pearlescent finishes. You can easily use these shades to play up or play down the greens. So pretty. Continue reading

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Partier Review & Swatches

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Partier has the same issue as the previous shadows I’ve swatched and reviewed from this collection. The color on the elf website is not the same as the actual color. I’m really glad that I’m able to show you the actual color!

On the site, Partier looks almost like a midnight blue. It’s sexy and sultry – definitely a color I see myself wearing at a (non-office) party. And even in the container, the product has a slight blue hue to it. Definitely not the case on my eyes. Come see what I mean. Continue reading

Milani Digital Review & Swatches

Pink is one of those colors that I like but think I can’t wear for some reason. It might be because my skin tone’s so light that I think pink just blends in. But let me introduce you to a pink that I think anyone, including myself, can pull off: Milani Digital!

The color is more of a rose with a tinge of purple than a baby pink, which is really flattering on many skin tones. Also, there are glitter flakes offering a reflection of hues – so the nail polish looks different depending on the light! Come see why this Milani Digital nail polish is now my favorite pink. Alright, guys and gals. If you love you nail color that’s anything but flat, this one’s for you. From the 3D Holographic Collection, Milani Hi-Tech offers you mega depth. And depending on the light you catch it, it looks like either a warm color or a cool tone.

This nail polish features Holographic Image Technology, which is supposed to give the nail color a reflective rainbow effect. What does that mean? It claims that you’ll be able to distinctively see seven different colors traveling across the nail color. Can you? Continue reading

NARS Orgasm – it’s a popular color that has spawned an entire collection by the brand. But why is it so popular anyway? To me, it’s glowing happiness…captured in a color that instantly adds a pick-me-up to the complexion. And who wouldn’t want that?

I’m sure many of you have heard of how affordable e.l.f. brushes are. e.l.f. Cosmetics is able to offer cost-efficient makeup and products because they don’t use celebrity endorsements and pass the savings in advertising to their customers.

I appreciate that this company is dedicated to offering ways to accentuate natural beauty within budget… all the while without compromising principles against animal testing. It’s understandable that the quality of these affordable products isn’t as high as that of luxury brands, but my question is: has the quality been compromised so much that the products aren’t even worth the $1 they cost?

Take a look at what I think of the e.l.f. Essentials Brushes line! Continue reading

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Socialite Review & Swatches

Even though I love checking out the e.l.f. site for sales and new colors, I’m always a little apprehensive in trying their products. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: their stuff is kind of hit and miss.

But they had a 50% off sale on their mineral eyeshadows, so I felt like I had to stock up. e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Socialite is one of the many colors I got, and it’s one of the best! Please don’t think of a certain hotel heiress when you see the name of this color. It’s the farthest thing from her! There’s depth and star power to this color. Continue reading
