Crown Brush, where have you been all my life? It was only recently when I visited IMATS that I got my hands on some Crown brushes. The few that I own and use every day have made me a Crown Convert!

Before trying Crown Studio C224 Oval Camouflage, I’ve struggled to find a good concealer brush. But my search has ended. The Crown Oval Camouflage is now my absolute favorite brush to apply concealer. I cannot put into words how much of a miracle brush this is… but I’ll definitely try!

Crown C224 Oval Camouflage Review

Crown C224 Oval Camouflage gets all ticks across my checklist. The first thing I look for is that the bristles have the right pliability. Got that. I love how soft this little tool is – even on the sensitive area under the eye. Never once did I feel it poking at me. (Those who’ve used poor-quality brushes know that sometimes applying makeup hurts!) This brush gently glides on the skin. It actually feels really nice.

But it can’t be too soft, and it’s not! While soft, the bristles on the Crown Oval Camouflage Brush have just enough tenacity to offer precise application. There’s no flopping of bristles here, which means you get precision as well as ease of blending. It’s really easy to get a flawless complexion with this brush… without any streakiness.

Now the size – love. Some people might find it slightly too large as a concealer brush, but I really appreciate the width of it. I know most blemishes aren’t dime-sized (at least I hope not!), but the Crown Oval Concealer brush covers a bigger area, which means less time going over a specific spot.

The bristle density on Crown C224 is also good! It’s tapered at the top, but that doesn’t mean it’s thin on the bristles. The tapered shape that’s packed closely with bristles allows me to easily control just the right amount of product to go on the skin.

How’s the quality, you ask? Not one single bristle has shed since I bought, washed, used, wash, used, etc. etc. etc. this brush. It doesn’t look like the bristles are going anywhere! I think this is one brush that’ll last me a very long time, but I’m planning on getting backups of it!

I must sing one last praise of Crown Studio C224 Oval Camouflage. It looks and feels like a professional tool. At approx. 5.5”, this brush is at just the right length. And it’s not too light! Plus, the polished chrome ferrule and matte-black birch-wood handle looks super sleek!
