Shake your grass skirt at the winter blahs because the CND Rhythm and Heat Collection for Summer 2017 will have you dreaming of hammocks, mojitos, and warm afternoon sunsets!
Launching in March, the six cremes have a slightly jellyish formula, which makes them extremely smooth and easy to paint on.
To fully cover my nail line, I needed to use either three thin coats or two thick ones. All of them were shiny on their own. My swatches show the nail polishes without a top coat, so you can see how they look straight out of the bottle.
Being a green fiend, Palm Deco (medium green) is my first choice, followed by Mambo Beat (hot orange-red), and Splash of Teal (blue).
Which colours are calling your name?
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the media launch event unveiling the CND Rhythm and Heat Collection, which was held at a salon called Fiorio Cumberland in Yorkville.
As you may have already seen on my Instagram, John Nguyen, one of the talented nail technicians there, painted my nails in the below fun design! He used the CND Shellac colours Palm Deco (green – two coats) and Shimmering Shores (glitter – one coat).
Check out the rest of this blog post for a closer look at each colour in the CND Vinylux Rhythm and Heat Collection, as well as the official press release for more details!
There are six shades in the CND Rhythm and Heat Collection:
- Sugar Cane
- Palm Deco
- Splash of Teal
- Shells in the Sand
- Mambo Beat
- Ripe Guava

NEW CND COLLECTION!
RHYTHM & HEAT 2017
Art deco design and endless beaches set the scene for a sophisticated getaway with the Rhythm & Heat collection from CND.
Escape the heat of the day under lush foliage and soak in the bright, tropical hues.
With exotic Caribbean destinations on every fashionista’s travel itinerary, nail designs will feature a mashup of cultural-influence, bold colour and graphic prints. It’s all about sensual style and lavish indulgences.
“This seasons trend story is rooted in nature with a sultry blend of colour and design. Put a fresh, graphic spin on a nail classic with the ‘palm French’ manicure, featuring a slightly tinted base with a crescent swoop of dusty rose polish down one side of the nail and a single palm leaf down the other. Perfect for a beach getaway or summer soiree!” – Jan Arnold, CND Co-Founder & Style Director

Which are your favourite colours in the CND Rhythm and Heat Collection? Are you looking forward to the hot summers, or are you feeling as cool-as-a-cucumber this winter?
All gorgeous colors and they look great on you as always. It goes without saying that as a fellow green fiend Palm Deco is calling my name. Thanks for sharing with us! 🙂
Hey Melissa!
Hehe, yes, Palm Deco is the one that flirted with me first. I gazed at it from afar, and as I stepped closer, it winked at me! 😉
LOL 😉
These shades totally scream vacation to me! Lovely swatches as usual! 🙂

Hey LemonBerry Blog!
Yes – HOLIDAY…VACATION…TROPICAL GETAWAY! Why am I yelling? Hmm…guess it’s the excitement. Polish does that to me. Hehe, I know fellow nail enthusiasts understand all too well. 😉
This collection looks so amazing all together! I think I have about 20 blues like Splash of Teal, but it is so gorgeous. It calls to me!
Hey Ashley!
While Splash of Teal isn’t unique, as you say, I agree, it’s the kind of colour that just looks so gorgeous on a wide variety of skin tones. For those who aren’t collectors like you and I are, this may be a great one to try. Can’t go wrong with a blue like this!
OOH, the formula type is right up my alley!! I think I must get Mambo Beat and Splash of Teal. Gorgeous swatches — thanks for all the info!

There are some really pretty polishes in this collection! I really like Palm Deco, Splash Of Teal & Ripe Guava.
