If you’re a fan of understated elegance and have a penchant for neutrals and muted, meditative tones like peach, beige, and blush, the new OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2016 Collection launching on July 1st will be right up your alley!
The six new shades are easy to sport and won’t raise any eyebrows in even the most conservative workplace (if that’s a concern of yours).
Even if you live for loud colours, don’t be too quick to rule out the OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2016 Collection, as the shades can be partnered with metallic, glitter, and brighter hues for a bolder manicure.
Although I love look-at-me nail polishes, I enjoy wearing sophisticated neutrals as palate cleansers. Plus they’re versatile, as they can be worn with practically any outfit.
Check out the rest of this post to see all six colours and to read the official press release with all the details.

The Nuances of Neutral:
SIX NEW SUMMER INFINITE SHINE SHADES FROM OPI
Blush, beige, pink and peach aren’t just for tulle ballerina skirts and floaty chiffon frocks. In the summer collections of designers like Fendi, Elie Saab, Calvin Klein and Oscar de la Renta, these “makeup” colours also give edgy trench coats, crop tops and pencil skirts a fresh new complexion. Now, OPI brings the same muted cool perfection to nails in six new limited-edition Infinite Shine No Light-Gel-Lacquer shades debuting July 1, 2016.
Infinite Shine, a professional, 3-step system, offers the high shine and long wear of a gel manicure with the ease of application and removal of nail polish.
“Think creamy, flawless foundation – for your nails,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador. “Nuanced, sophisticated lacquer shades like pale pink, ethereal beige, soft peach and dusty rose are summer wardrobe must-haves, and one of your best fashion accessories.”
Infinite Shine features a simple three-step system; first, apply Infinite Shine Primer (Step 1), which goes beyond the capabilities of a standard base coat to prime nails for a revolutionary grip on color, while also preventing staining. Next, select your gel-lacquer shade (Step 2) and paint two thin, even coats for richly- pigmented, vivid color. Finish with Infinite Shine Gloss (Step 3), a state-of-the-art gel polymer top coat that cures in natural light. Product is easily removed with standard nail lacquer remover; no soaking is required.
New OPI Infinite Shine colours for summer 2016 include:
Staying Neutral on This One
A whisper of pink so sweet it makes choosing sides impossible.
Don’t Ever Stop!
This sun-drenched salmon will keep you on your toes.
Can’t Stop Myself
Everything’s peachy when you give yourself the go ahead.
No Stopping Zone
Give your undertones a workout in dusky rose that goes and goes.
Hurry Up and Wait
There’s no time like the present to let this luminous tan linger.
No Strings Attached
This elusive nude refuses to let anyone pin it down.
In addition to the six limited-edition summer hues, OPI also offers two trio packs featuring Primer, one Gel-lacquer (Staying Neutral on This One or Don’t Ever Stop), and Gloss ($29.95, $39.95 CAN) as well as a duo pack containing Primer and Gloss ($19.95, $26.95 CAN.) Both provide an excellent introduction to the beauty of Infinite Shine No Light Gel Lacquer.
OPI Infinite Shine gel-lacquers, primer and gloss retail for $12.50 ($16.95 CAN) each at Professional Salons, as well as Beauty Brands, beautybrands.com, Chatters, Dillard’s, Regis, ULTA and ulta.com and Macy’s. Do you rock neutral nails, or are bold colours more your speed? Which of the new OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2016 Collection colours interest you the most?
Such pretty nude polishes. I’m usually not one for nude polishes, but I see a couple that I might like to try. Thanks as always for sharing with us. I can’t wait to see your reviews and swatches of them.
Hey Melissa!
I know what you mean. Not usually a nude-coloured nail-polish gal, but sometimes, it fits the bills. 🙂 I love how elegant it can look, and sometimes I need it as a palate cleanser.
These definitely have my name written all over them… but I’m going to be strong and not even get one (after blowing my entire budget on the Seashells, the Sunsets, the Alice’s and the Retro Summers).
Oh alright, maybe I’ll buy just one… or two… 😉

Hey Joyce!
Hehe, I understand. The Zoya Seashells and Sunsets Collections were hard to ignore. 😉 Plus OPI has been killing it with their new releases.
