Nubar Greener Review

Whenever I look at Greener on my nails, I think of pine trees – the fresh, young and lively ones. The shade is a rich green, and it’s not so dark that it looks like black. It’s a mesmerizing green that’s luscious and calming at the same time. (They say you should look at green things when you’re stressed. Maybe I’ll just look at my nails.)

I also love the green shimmer. Usually I’d prefer the shimmer to contrast more, but I think having it green adds such a nice warm depth to the color. It doesn’t steal the show, but it’s a nice complement to the shade.

The formula goes on very smoothly. I hate nail polishes that go on thin yet tacky, but Nubar Going Green Greener is easy to work with. It evens itself out on the nail so you don’t have to be super careful when applying. This is good because I don’t have a steady hand.

You do need a second coat though. With one coat, Nubar Greener looks a bit patchy in some spots. Not a huge problem since applying a second coat gives you a nice even result. There is some shine to it, but the finish isn’t super glossy.

Pros

  • No DBP, formaldehyde, toluene
  • Good consistency
  • Gorgeous shade of green
Cons

  • Needs more than 1 coat
  • Limited-edition collection

Final Verdict: 10/10

This is one of my favorite shades that I always go back to. The color is intense and attention grabbing!

What do you think of it? Do you have other green nail colors that you love?

The new China Glaze holiday collection greens are beautiful, especially Mistletoe Kisses. I also love CG Four Leaf Clover and Emerald Sparkle 😀
