China Glaze Tail Me Something is described as a glistening light lavender, according to the press release about the China Glaze Sea Goddess Collection.
It’s spot on! This textured nail polish has so much glitz and glam, when you wear it, it catches the light and makes you think you’re wearing the nail-polish equivalent of jewelry!
As you know, I’m always happy to have textured nail polish on my nails because it’s one of the trends that I’ve been most excited about in a long time.
Would you wear this purple?

China Glaze Tail Me Something Review
Colour
Tail Me Something by China Glaze is a pale purple that has very much a princess-like feel to it.
After reading the colour story in the press release, I really think this one fits in nicely with the rest of the collection.
If you’re looking for a soft colour, but you want to hop on board the textured trend, this one’s a fun one to try!
Finish
There’s mostly very fine glitter suspended in the base polish, but when you look closer, you’ll see there are some larger glitters thrown in there, too. This gives the overall appearance more interest.
Since it’s a textured nail polish, it dries exceptionally quickly, which is one of the things I love so much about this type of lacquer. You don’t have to wait long before you can do stuff with your hands.
The finish is gritty, but if you’re more into the smooth look, you could apply a couple of coats of top coat. (I recommend using a regular top coat and then a quick-dry one instead of two of the quick-dry ones, which could promote your manicure to chip more easily.)
As for myself, I’m a textured nail-polish purist most times and prefer to wear it as-is for the full, intended effect.
Application & Formula
The consistency was thin and watery, but because there was so much dense glitter sprinkled in, it really covered the nail well.
You should just need about two coats in order to cover the nail line, but if you use three, that’s the maximum.
I was surprised that this polish was glue-like, so it was easy to spread out and to apply. (Some textured nail polishes are so thick, it’s next to impossible to apply, until you add some thinner into the mix.)

Final Verdict: 7.5/10
Tail Me Something by China Glaze not only has a cool finish and a colour that is really sweet, but the name’s pretty cute, too!
If you’re a fan of light polishes, don’t want something too bold, yet you want to try a textured polish that’s blingy, give this one a go!
What does a “Sea Goddess” look like to you? When’s the last time you watched The Little Mermaid? How would you wear this textured nail polish?
OMG I have to get that one! I have Seahorsin’ Around and Teal The Tide Turns and love them! ^_^

Hey Lizzy!
Oh my goodness, I’m DROOLING over Seahorsin’ Around – it’s so gorgeous!
Gorgeous! I’m not a big fan of purple, but I think I’m going to have to buy this one.
Hey Melissa!
Enjoy! 🙂
Whoa! I just fell down! You know I am a purple head. lol I love love love this color. Gotta get it!! It looks beautiful on you Mary.
Hey Robbie!
Let me pick you back up! 😉 Hehe, yes, I know you’re very fond of purples, and I know why – they look amazing on you!
your swatches are beautiful! And this looks like such a nice color.. I’m often tempted by China Glaze (and i’ve purchased many bottles)..
I just have no luck with this brand! I do my nails at night, and the next day it chips, flakes, and peels off of my nails at an alarming rate! O.o
By the time i get home, i’ve got pretty much bare nails! Lol idk why this is.. I use Nail Envy as a base and Seche Vite as a top (when i use a top coat). It’s too bad.. I’d love to get some from this collection 🙁
Hey Pema Grey!
I’m so happy to hear that you really enjoyed the swatches! 🙂 It always feels really good for a blogger to read comments like yours – thanks for your encouragement!
It’s too bad that your experience with China Glaze has been so disappointing. It could just be that the polish doesn’t react well with your nail chemistry because I use the exact same base and top coat combination. Then again, polish tends to wear very well on me in general. Polishes rarely chip on me, even though my full-time job requires typing on the keyboard a lot.
