A couple of days ago, I shared with you my review on OPI I Love Applause, which is a pale pink from the OPI Muppets Most Wanted Collection.
Although I enjoyed wearing the soft shade solo, I was way too tempted by OPI Let’s Do Anything We Want!, which is from the same collection.
So, what did I decide to do? Anything I wanted! (Haha, I couldn’t resist.)
I layered just a single coat of glitter over the pink base, and I think they played well together. Rather than a contrasting look like what I showed you yesterday using Rainbow Honey XOXO over Zoya Song, these two OPI nail polishes are more similar and complement each other in a softer way.
What do you like more? Contrasting or complementing glitter combinations? (I like both, and it usually depends on my mood when it comes to which one I choose to wear.)
P.S. Remember, Canadians, you still have until February 28 at 11:59 pm EST to enter my OPI Brazil Collection giveaway!
P.P.S. By the way, thank you so much for voting for me in the Nicole by OPI nail-art challenge that I blogged about before. Your support meant so much to me, and I’m already planning a way to give back to my loyal readers again. Stay tuned! 😉 You won’t want to miss it! (Although I didn’t win the contest, my readers made me feel like a winner, which is the real prize – THANK YOU!)

OPI Let’s Do Anything We Want! Review
Colour
What a fun and girly polish Let’s Do Anything We Want! by OPI is! There are small pieces of rose-gold glitter, which I think also look classier than, say, Barbie hot pink. It’s still traditionally feminine, but it’s not loud, despite having lots of glitter.
In my photos, some of the glitter looks dark, but there aren’t any of those. It’s just that when the light hits the rose-gold glitter at a certain angle, it makes them look very dark.
I also like the large, medium, and small white square glitter thrown in. That elevates this polish to make it way more interesting. And, although large and square, somehow, it still manages to look soft, and it goes very well with the smaller pieces.
Finish
Let’s Do Anything We Want! by OPI is obviously a glitterbomb because it’s full of all different sizes of glitter.
Due to the density, you could probably wear a few layers of the glitter alone to completely cover your nail, but I prefer to layer these kind of polishes.
(Plus having only one layer of glitter makes it easier to remove later. Oh, and here’s a heads up: I’ll be test-driving the new OPI Glitter-Off Base Coat, the one that’s peelable, really soon, so stay tuned for a detailed review after I’ve tried it several times!)
This polish had noticeable texture, but I didn’t feel like it was really jagged. However, I always wear a top coat over these kind of glitters to smooth them out further. With a top coat, I barely felt the texture.
Application & Formula
It was easy to paint with Let’s Do Anything We Want! because the glitter was suspended in enough clear nail polish to make it easy to spread out the glitter evenly. (I didn’t have to resort to the ‘dabbing method’ like I have to do when the polish is a bit stubborn.)
You can paint your nails normally and then use the brush to play around with the glitter. However, even if you just paint it regularly, it still winds up looking pretty even. Just make sure that you haven’t loaded your brush up with polish too much because if you do, the glitter may have a habit of pooling wherever the thicker area of polish is, which in this case, could be at the tips.

Final Verdict: 9/10
I really enjoyed using OPI We Can Do Anything We Want! layered over a soft pink. I feel like it dressed up my existing manicure to give it a whole new look. For this reason, I think this polish is great for people who are busy like me and still want to change up their nail look.
What would you layer OPI We Can Do Anything We Want! over? Which other OPI Muppets Most Wanted Collection shades would you like to see me review in-depth next?
This looks like the perfect and most gorgeous color for spring! I’m really starting to get into pastels and lighter more tranquil colors, but I could never be without a pop of glitter! This seems perfect! <3
Hey Ashly!
Yes, it’s a good middle of the road! 🙂 I’m starting to really love softer shades, but glitter really adds a fun touch.
It always breaks my heart a little bit whenever I try photograph a glitter polish and the buoyant light reflecting qualities of the glitter aren’t reproduced by the camera and turn out looking like dark little metallic pieces. Sometimes it helps to take the pictures with a light source behind the polish, but that’s not always possible. As pretty as it looks in your photos, I imagine experiencing this manicure in person is like looking at cherry trees in bloom! Beautiful combo!

Hey Liz!
Thanks for the tip! I’ve never really thought of doing that!
Oh yes, seeing this polish is person is amazing! There’s so much glitter, and don’t be surprised if you admire it for quite some time. 🙂
Now that OPI is coming out with a glitter off base I will definitely be more inclined to pick up some glitter polishes!! I only have two so I will probably pick this one up! So pretty!
Hey Michaela!
I know, right? Their Glitter Off Base Coat is a real game changer!
Love the color. I’m just wondering it the white squares curl up after a few days or after the top coat? I’ve seen some polishes with “big” glitter pieces do that. Just curious.
Hey Melissa!
When I wore this, the white squares didn’t curl up at all, but it may have been because I was using a thick top coat (Seche Vite). If you use something really thin (like Posche), maybe the glitter would curl.
. I almost always use Seche Vite, but I was just curious. Thanks for letting me know. And thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. When I grow up, I wanna be like Mary. LOL 🙂
You’re welcome! 🙂
Not sure how I feel about the white squares in this glitter…I think I would prefer it without the little squares. The name is cute, though :).
Hey Jessica!
Aww, really? I’m the opposite – haha, the squares make my heart race! I don’t think I’d like it nearly as much without them.
Its a beautiful combination…. Mary you are so lucky to wear such pretty stuff on your nails.. Seriously if you were anywhere near me, your nail polish collection would feel threatened!! :O 😛 😀
Hey Chaitali!
Hahahaha!
